Feedback: Deadly Premonition and Infinity Ward Exodus
We finally get around to talking about our cult favorite game of the year so far, Deadly Premonition. Also, nearly everyone is fleeing Infinity Ward, and some of them are suing Activision!

I'm surprised nobody mentioned Killer7 when talking about games that are weird like Deadly Premonition.

Adam I respect you as a gaming journalist, but how is attacking the entire tea party group justified because there are some crazies in the group? That's like saying the Pope lets child molesters off the hook, so therefore all Catholics are condoning child molestation. You seem like the kind of level-headed guy who would see through the media bias that has so avidly painted all these people are some kind of extremists simply because their view of government control is negative. I certainly don't agree with the way the government is doing things and I agree with the core cause of these rallies; but I am in no way shape or form a nazi white supremacist. Think more carefully before you decide to spout off about this again. Thanks.

    @Andrew Pfister

sorry the reply function doesn't work for me.

Exactly. A little self serving don't you think? We get regular updates on this site regularily anyways, no need to devote ANOTHER feedback to it. The viewers had much more interesting questions/topics. Deadly Premonition stuff was good though.

Great call with the X-Wing/Tie Fighter request! There's not a week I don't consider digging Tie Fighter out to see if I can get it working, but...they're on floppy disks, and I don't have a joystick. I wonder if I could set it up to work with my 360 controller...nah, too much work.

Maybe Tachyon: The Fringe has aged well...

I have never seen Twin Peaks.

I had never heard of Deadly Premonition before.

You guys made me want to play it.

You sold me on the idea to play Deadly Premonition, so I went to add it to my game queue, only to find it's only on the X360, but I don't have a 360. :(

Now to go watch more Twin Peaks.

Thanks for all the news guys. Others might be sick of some of the topics but they can't hardly blame you for doing your job, and if they do, well they're probably the type who cram tens of napkins into half-full glasses of water so the guy in the dish room has to jab at it for an hour to get them out (I hate those people).

Secondly, I know nobody ever seems to enjoy them but I'd love to see a turn-based tactical game made but with co-op capabilities. Final Fantasy Tactics with another player who could do missions separate from you or team up both parties in a single battle sounds very appealing to me. Then again, what sounds good doesn't always turn out to be good.

Thanks again and keep up the good work.

Actually, I think Activision stock has taken a pretty big hit over this whole IW thing.

If you look at the stock since April 12 (Respawn announcement, and beginning of mass walk outs) the stock has dropped 12.5%... vs. EA (up 1.3%) and NASDAQ (up .5%).

While 12% may not seem like much, with 1.25B shares out there at $11, this corresponds to a loss of about 2 billion dollars.

    My question

What game developer or publisher would you like do better. Because Sega has no clue what it should do with Sonic and Bayonetta and many other game franchise it has. Maybe asking another game developer could bring new life into the franchise.

Like Sonic and Dark brotherhood or Silent Hill Homecoming. A game developer I think needs to get in shape is Atari games they need to get their act together and make a new Alon in the dark game(don't forget to test it) maybe a game publisher like THQ or IO Interactive get back in the game as well.

Am I the only one who thinks that Time Splitters needs to make a come back soon? Yeah, I know, it a FPS. But it was a DIFFERENT first person shooter. The characters were actually different! Different heights! Different weaknesses! And with PS's Play. Create. Share!? I mean come on! How about a FPS with MAP EDITOR! PLEASE PIMP FOR TIME SPLITTERS 4!!!

Another excellent episode, especially the end when it was like 7 rapid fire curse words while you talk about dirty versions of facebook and twitter, I'll definenlty tell a friend because of it. Now for a viewer question if I may:

In the almost certain event that IW and Activision news will come up again this week, I want to know if it's even worth keeping IW up and running for Activision. Yes, they want to keep that name so people will think, "Ow it's the new COD from Infinity Ward", but when there is a negative story every week for almost a month about how much people from IW hate Activision, you'd think they would have to shut down.

I think Activision just has to settle out of court and close Infinity Ward down for good. We'll all be saddened to see developers loss their jobs, but there's a 90% guarantee that they get a job at Respawn or Treyarch, this story will finally be over and done with. And yes, the brand will be just as strong with Treyarch as it is with IW at this point, whether Activision kills the brand in another way is another story entirely. Call of Duty: Oscar Mike Party anyone?

P.S. In the event that IW is disbanded in the next few weeks, I CALLED IT!!!

:( im a huge pc gamer, got a new m17x laptop, so for me, theres no point for me to buy a ps3 or xbox360, but, that being said, i almost would get a used xbox360 just for deadly premonition - i doubt it'll ever get ported to pc, as its not a blockbuster, but whatever im rage quitting "x"
