Skate 3 Demo Direct-Feed Gameplay
We take on EA Black Box's Skate 3 demo... news is, the demo beat us. We know you'll fare much better than us, but that won't stop us from calling this game "Run 3".

Is it just me or is Skate 3 going for more of a goofy theme? It seems like it's getting closer to Tony Hawk...

the bail challenge looked pretty fun but it just looks like they made some minor improvements otherwise it doesent seem that there is anything new or that impressive here

I, for one, like the demo. It is a little small for my likings, but makes me proud to have preordered it. My favorite part is the one guys name, Beau. My cats name is Beau. lololololol :D? But the darkslides and underflips-- Pure amazement. Not happy with what happened to the bail system though. Unrealistic. If you jump off a building, you drop. Not fly 500 feet because you stick your arms and legs out. Really. Also, when i bail, i go into a cannon ball and press RT. I end up being able to do over 30, yes 30, flips. So eh.

Here we go, de ja vu all over again... I remember the last skateboarding series to shift focus away from innovation in favor of running, bails, injuries... Oh yeah, that's how we got skate in the first place! (as an alternative)

i got the demo wen it first came out and i played on the harder difficulty and i loved it! it was way more realistic and thats how i wanted it from the beginning. the first 1 was great bt too easy. every trick was easy to do. it took no skill wat so ever. and thats wat i like about the hard difficulty. is that u actually have to try. skate 3 is gonna be sick!

i was unimpressed with the demo. im a big skate 2 fan (check out my youtube vids), but i felt like the crashes in the skate 3 demo were a little stiff. and the ability to fling yourself in the air is stupid imo.

I love the demo but, I really wish they would release a demo that isn't timed. I love the game, it's always a day one purchase for me. It's just frustrating to play the demo, just start getting into it, and then run out of time....

Give me a smaller area to run around in, if you have to. Hell, I'd even pay a few bucks for an untimed demo....

Red Dead Redemption, Mod Nation Racers, Skate 3... It's good to be a gamer.

as someone who skates, I was siked to see the hardcore mode. It makes the whole "skateboarding simulator" actually become a simulator.

I absolutely loved the demo. Personally, hardcore mode is a must buy for me. It offers a challenge, and when you finally get a line down, you feel pretty pro. Definitely gonna go pre order this one!

I love the first two Skate games so there's no doubt that this will be a first day purchase for me. That said there are a few things that I noticed felt a bit odd, mainly the camera options and the player's apparent lack of weight. But it's not like the first two games were perfect and they're two of my favorite games of all time. So, to some up my thoughts, HURRY UP AND COME OUT ALREADY! :)

Please press A and not X while playing this game or making a video, pushing mongo makes us REAL skateboarders hate this game. Other than that "free running" in this game is hilarious. Hold RB while in air or after you jump its AWESOME :) haha. The hardcore mode is great! People above me ^ say they cant grind while in hardcore mode and That does happen but you will get used to it as I did. I noticed that the game actually pushes you away from the ledge if not holding both the joysticks toward the ledge or rail. I will be buying this game but Red Dead Redemption will be in my xbox more than this game FORSUUUURE! Check out ME actually skating! post a comment and let me know what you think! - Benny http://www.youtube.com/watch?v =QEJqkvSCRq8

I noticed that the game runs a lot smoother but the graphics look like a total downgrade from the last game. Maybe this will change in the full game but for now it doesn't feel right. Also the walking changed from feeling like trying to control a school bus to trying to control a fast paper airplane. the characters feel like the are weightless when walking around. I like the bail recovery, that was a surprise and a welcomed one at that. really a timesaver. The new hall of meat is cool, seeing the bones break as they happen, and being able to control your flight was definitely a huge, fun, and unexpecting surprise. I thought that that feature alone makes this game better than the last. but unless i see a graphics improvement and a more characteristic city i won't be buying this game.

i thought the hard difficulty setting was more fun then regular but grinding seemed near impossible. it seemed like i was going right for the rails and ledges every time but my character just would not grind. i was frustrated.
