Rockstar really ought to put a shading thing at the beginning of games. There's this one mission where I'm in a dark alley and can't see a darn thing. Ridiculous.
philosophersdoom
I really do not see that big a deference . I thought the ps3 was this big powerful system... not !.......In the end, it comes down to personal preference , no one is losing out ether way. Or like myself just get both, and sell your wii.

I have the game both consoles. Regret getting it on PS3 I ( Personally like XBOX version better). I Love my Ps3 MOSTLY FOR bLU_RAYS THOUGH.
quicksand
The PS3 version looks darker more than anything else. But, of course, since this is a port, the creators probably half-assed the transition. PS3 has gotten short shrifted by so many ports :(
Jeespot
hahaha all i notice besides the difference in contrast is the choppy ass frame rate on the xbox side, stupid xbox 360....
UncannierDwarf
and they had how much time to improve the ps3 one?
Minotaur877
I would much rather play the PS3 version. It might be dark, but you can adjust the brightness. The PS3 version runs smoother and is crisper.
Dudimus24
I don't know what these people are trying to prove? You can make the game brighter or darker in the game settings. And besides, they have already done comparison videos on the GTA IV and they have all said that PS3 is a little smoother, but that there aren't any drastic differences. Way to go, trying to start a flame war G4.
Redd75
Dear G4,
I HATE the way you do these 360/PS3 comparison videos. Show both trailers side by side, rather than cutting the trailer in half. The way the two halves were staggered was distracting.
cerberusOD
In my opinion, the PS3 (despite its darker setting) seems smoother and less laggy in comparison (seemed a bit faster, or that could just be the moderators slowing it just to show the difference). Visually, they're different, but gameplay still seems unchanged.
Nice to see Niko, though...
karlito_bandito
this isnt the first time i notice, the comparison videos here are not acurate at all!, i played the ps3 version and it looks nothing like this, im not trying to imply anything but you can tell someone screwed with the brightness, THE PS3 AND 360 VERSIONS LOOK THE SAME IN REALITY, so people can leave all thier biased opinoins behind when it comes to comparing these games.
MaxDeadMonkey
That is total BS because you can change the brightness setting in your menu ,..besides there are many different in game characters and phrases, the cars look better the game-play is much smother I wouldn't have believed it either if I hadn't played it myself! A must buy even if you own it on Xbox360 .......THANK YOU ROCKSTAR....MUCH LOVE! can't wait for RED DEAD REDEMPTION. these are cut-scenes and not in game footage.
Sector1286
definitely not major differences but xbox version looks better.
rgs10
I'd rather have the screen too bright and be able to see everything than have screen too dark and barely even see the HUD. (I own a ps3, i'm not a 360 fanboy)
Hueso
Wow, talk about quality versus quantity. I see that the Xbox has a foggier and some what brighter (like you can't adjust the shade in the menu) while the PS3 and can clearly see the detail. Kinda like when I'm playing God of War III. Not trying to clown, but I do see a difference I'm not blind and I know the rest of you don't care but only care about your system.
JDarkley
There's a difference, but it's not worth debating between the two.
BonezCHS64
no difference in graphics. the only obvious difference is one is darker than the other. but other than that practically identical
tturner1
I liked the ps3 version more, but you cant really tell the difference when your playing.
r3a3p3r
to me, looks like 360 takes the cake, but thats just me.
sistokid
one is too bright and one is too dark. please dont hurt me.
