I have to agree with Jake, I'm a fan of the older Splinter Cell games and Conviction almost felt awkward at times. I played through Caos Theory and Double Agent again to kinda get myself ready for Conviction and I just did not like the change in pace or gameplay. It's still a fun game but I don't even think it should be called "Splinter Cell".

I never really got into the splinter cell games on the original Xbox, but I did play them a bit esp. the first one cause it's the only one I actually owned of the three that came out for the Xbox. The other two I play for many hours at random friends houses, and I rented them too. Now with that said, I didn't get to play Splinter Cell: Double Agent at all for the Xbox 360. Just recently though I downloaded the Splinter Cell: Conviction Demo with high hopes of it being one of the best Splinter Cells. Yet after playing through the demo twice I've come to the conclusion that it just doesn't measure up to the originals on the Xbox original. Why does the new Splinter Cell feel almost too.....casual should I say? or maybe Stupid!

YES!!! LOVED IT!!! One of the best parts of that whole episode was the fact that I almost got Adam's first obscure! I know Heaven's Gate was Michael Cimino's follow up to Dear Hunter(Which you guys of course have referenced many times on X-Play.). I know it wasn't supposedly as good as Dear Hunter, but I don't know from memory of having been there because I only turned 22 a couple weeks ago. The one part I don't get is Adam mentioned a name that I didn't recognize... I'm assuming it was a director.

I just picked up Splinter Cell: Conviction. I never liked the old Splinter Cell games that much. They were too slow paced and they penalized you for combat way too hard, I think. I've always been a Metal Gear fanboy. But I am liking Conviction. It's the Splinter Cell I've always wanted from Splinter Cell. Sure, it has some problems, but I like it a lot.

P.S. Speaking of THE END, that last question you guys took and everything that happened after that? HILARIOUS!!! THANK YOU!!!

I want to see the return of "Agents Bob and Steve". That was one of my most favorite parts of Classic X-Play.

I understand that when you think of splinter cell, you think its a stealth game. But actually splinter cell means: One Man Army. Sam is a single cell. He needs to be update what's around him. His daughter is dead, he left 3rd Echelon, now he wants answers, he's not just join a orgainzation, he needs to find out the truth. When sam works with echelon he has rules. he has to be careful on who he can kill. Now on conviction he has no rules, he has no leach. He can basicly do what ever he wants. I belive this game is a agressive stealh. A type of stealth where you are constantly taking actions and vanish, like arkyam asylum, its aggressive stealth. Sam is no different. There are times where you need to take action. Im glad what they change, it brings the story an edge. His daugther is dead, you know he's piss, so he going take his anger and shove third Echelon up the ass for the pain they cause on him.

Hey its ok Abbie, U R just a run and shoot type girl. Some girls like it fast some like it slow, I bet U R A killer in MW2. PS I am a fan of the old splinter-cell and I don't like the changes; however, Its still a good game they should have just gave it another name. Good FeedBack guys.

Great show to you all. @Abby, great job in Klepic's spot(didn't miss him a bit)sorry Patrick. @the camera guys - get on youtube and search for the Bob and Tom Show. It is a popular radio show in my backyard that is also on tv. You should take a lesson on thier camera work. It's not a deal breaker, but it does get a bit annoying.

sorry for suggesting in the Conviction review that Adam would be a better SP reviewer, from the feedback I can see that he was never a fan.

I still want to know how a five hour campaign gets a four out of five,

This isn't rhetorical, I do actually want to know..If its that good I want to know about it.

Great episode guys. I've played the first few hours of Conviction and I am enjoying the game so far. Even though there are many changes to the formula (I was a fan of Splintercell before the revamp), I'm finding the stealth action combat and the co-op to be very satisfying.

On another note: I see that some of you (on feedback and the in its comments section) are speculating on what Patrick plans on doing in Hawaii. You might have wondered or jokingly wondered questions like these:
    To enjoy the weather?
To enjoy the beach next to his princess?
To enjoy his Ipad while his princess silently glares?

Who wants to guess that he went there because Lost is filmed there? Hunt Bigfoot? No. Hunt Polar Bears? Yes. I wonder how many other endangered species Patrick is hunting?

The first book Aspho Fields, is the back story of how Marcus and Dom became friends. Its got tons of back story if your interested. It also outlines how the COG ended up with the Hammer of Dawn. Tons of back story.

The second book is Jacinto's Remnant. This one takes place right after the Gears of war 2, with flashbacks of when the COG used the Hammer of Dawn to destroy locust all over the world. The gears and whats left of jacinto's population move to a base and scrounge for whatever they can find. In the end the battles are more with the Stranded, then the locust.
