while I think it is fun, I am waiting on MOD Nation Racers. It kind of reminds me of COD on wheels with how the leveling up system works. You get the perks and the challenges for each car, that adds a nice touch. My only problem with the game is that there is no ready up button to press while in the lobby, you have to wait for the 30 seconds to expire before the race starts. I think that you should have the option to wait 30 seconds or start the game immediately when everybody is ready. It is fun and i didn't experience any severe lag while playing it. So it should be a solid title, I just don't see it being a better game than Mod Nation in terms of customization and the ability to create and share tracks with other people for FREE. Otherwise I think it will do well. But I'll see you guys on MOD Nation. peace
I like Blur.I wish I could play mini-games during the lobby and loading screens. These mini games could teach players how to use different power ups and lead to unlocks.
this game is bad ass!!! easy controls and very addicting. Im not really into racing games but this one sucks you in. when your racing with other 20 people it gets crazy, power ups flying by you. I also like how you level up and unlock more things as you play, making you want to race again as soon as you get out. this is a game that when you have people over its easy or them to pick up the controler and jump right in and get that rush of racing.
I did have fun playing Blur, but I hate that you can play a match with someone who is "WAY" higher ranked than you and you are destined to get spanked! It would have been nice if the servers would put people of equal rank (or close to) together, so the races are more evened out. Who wants to play against someone who has a 10+ rank and you just started?!! That SUCKS!!! I like being able to have weapons, while using real cars...Nice. However, I think I am still leaning towards Split Second. I LOVE BURNOUT!!! If Split Second is supposed to be more like Burnout, then I'm there. I love what I have seen on that game, so far. I will stay play the waiting game with Blur...it is a Beta, so things can change.
Feels like there is not much to with driving games, there may be small variations from arcade to simulations and graphics and effects, but pretty much have the same controls, steer left steer right, accelerate, break, change view, handbrake. Not to mention, the scenery feel recycled as well, racing through an industrial shipping yard... where have I seen that before? Multiplayer has always been a problem for me with racing games, cause you have to wait in a lobby while an ongoing race is taking place, then depending on weather or not the host drops out after the race is over. Hate to generalize this game but watching the demo just reminded me of every other driving game.
Screw this demo. It takes too long to find a stupid game.
This game looks sooo awesome it's like Mario Kart with cars but it also has a rival which is Slit/Second I wonder which will be better. I don't know what I want to get There's ModNation Racers and Red Dead Redemption still a lot of games coming.
This is yet another case of good game bad timing. I am a decently well of individual who gets 1 game every 2/3 months. I regularly buy DLC as well, however my cash well is not infinite enough to buy me every good game that appears. There are just so many great games coming out that I have planned on getting for so much longer than Blurr. I just purchased conviction, and plan on getting Red Dead. If I had known about this game for longer would have put it on my list; but a lack of marketing, and so many other epic games coming out in such quick succession have killed Blurr in my mind. Is anyone else of a like mind?
Gotta enjoy a good racing game. Lol I still love NFS: Carbon and Full Auto 2.I had this idea. Imagine a racing game with Need for Speed Carbon or Shift controls. GTA IV looks and open world. Start a crew online. Campaign basics would be some sort of story. Race for money. Take over areas, the basics ya'know. The more you're known the better things that are available but the more challenging the game becomes. So you have to race and spend more for better parts. Become know by winning races or having loads of sweet cars. Money could also be used for ANYTHING you can do to a car. Think of the level maker in LBP. Have cutting tools so you can make 100% custom skirts, hoods, spoilers, etc. Lol just my crazy fantasy for a car game.
well i thought this game was going to be wack and it is kinda koo .
I downloaded this demo a few nights back and have since not played an actual game. My buddies and I just have too much fun blasting each other to bits like we did back in Mario Kart 64. This game, however, also rewards driving well and can not be won with power-ups alone, which is the main reason I have not liked Mario Kart for quite some time.Great demo, cannot wait for the full game to release.
I've been watching this game for a while and was eager to get my hands on a demo so I could see how well it plays. Wow, I was not prepared for how fun and addicting it is. Grab a few friends, race and blast the crap out of each other for hours on end, unlocking new cars and mods along the way. Absolutely cannot wait until it's release.
waitin on mod natoin and gt5
Just plan old FUN!!! Great speed, awesome play control, fantastic online multiplayer, this game has it all! I played in online with "20" other racers. 20 freakin'people racing at once!!!!! What a blast! I couldn't stop playing it.Notice who hates this game, so you know who not to ever listen too about games. This game seperates the haters from the pure gamers.
This is one of the most fun betas/demos I've played in a long time! It's one of those great kinds of easily accessible pick-up-&-play arcade racers like Mario Kart that hooks you into playing it for hours and hours in order to level up and unlock more goodies. It's even more fun when you get into a party with a bunch of your buddies and are yelling at each other while you're slamming each other around the tracks. Some of those 20-player races can get really crazy, esp. when you end up in a big pileup and everyone's barging each other at once! lolFor those having problems getting into a race, it's most likely your connection, since I and many other people have only had an occasional problem getting into a race and can race for hours with no problems at all. But yes, there will be some occasional problems when trying to start a race because it is a beta after all, so the connectivity won't be the same as the finished game.As for Split Second, it looks pretty fun and I might get it too, but I'm really hoping there will be a demo of it too so I can get a better idea of whether or not it's worth pre-ordering like Blur is!
it looks too reliant on the powerups and not enough on the driving.
Someone wanna tell this guy to stop yelling? You know its still in Beta, right? THAT MEANS ITS NOT DONE! Word to your mother brain!
Someone wanna shut this guy up? Whats with the yelling? You know its just a beta, right? ITS NOT DONE!!!!
LISTEN THIS GAME IS MAD FUN, BUT IT NEEDS TO ADD DEEPER CUSTOMIZATION, NATURAL DISASTERS, MORE CREATIVE POWER-UPS, AND MAYBE A COP CHASE MODE, OTHERWISE IT WILL ALWAYS FALL SHORT TO SPLIT SECOND. AND YES IVE BEEN PLAYIN ALL WEEKEND AND ITS FUN EVERY TIME YOU PICK IT UP, IF IT WERENT FOR RPG ELEMENT ONLINE OF LEVELING UGH UMM )CODMW2( I PROBABLY WOULD HAVE ALREADY DELETED IT OFF MY MOTHER BRAIN (MY HARD DRIVE)
