I may be showing my canuckleness, but my all time favourite is EA NHL '98 which I have for the PS. Some network (CBC, TSN) should have bought the rights to this.

Good call on Code Veronica and Sonic CD but what about Panzer Dragoon for the Saturn. That is probably my favorite intro ever.

Although, I guess not technically cinematics. The intros to Uncharted 2 and Mass Effect 2 both blew me away.

I Remember Back In The Day Playing Soul Blade With My Buddy; Showing Him The Intro Video. His Mom Walks In And Says "What Movie You Boys Watching?" We Said To Her "It's A PlayStation game". I will never forget her face being blown away like that over a game cut scene; and staying to watch it finish up. Good Choice For number one.

Freedom Fighter beats ALL of them. Jesper Kyd's 'March of the Empire' was suitably dramatic. I want a real sequel to that game.
