The iPad may not be 'the' thing that will revolutionize this type of device, but it is the first step to a future of no more magazines, newspapers, and books. If anything this is their beta of a 2.0 version that will have a lot more features. What makes the iPhone great isn't what Apple did with it, but what the people did with it. I see a future iPad coming in a year or so from now that's more influenced by what the people are using it for.

I am still not impressed. When I first heard about the iPad, I was excited about having a light device (I have a muscular disease and cannot carry heavy objects) in lieu of a laptop. Based on this video, the iPad seems like a luxurious device for casual gaming. But aren't the PSP's and DS's nice gaming devices at less than half of what the iPad costs?

P.S. I was trying to find a better word instead of "luxurious."

I still don't think the fact that it won't get hot is enough to buy it. I have a laptop and an iPod Touch, why would I need this? Also, the iPod Touch doesn't have certain flash player support which makes it so you can only watch certain videos like ones on YouTube and you can't play online flash games. Does the iPad support these flash players?
