Top 5 Games of 2010...So Far
Adam Sessler runs down the list of the Top 5 Games of 2010...So Far, including 'God of War III,' 'Tatsunoku vs. Capcom: Ultimate All Stars,' 'Heavy Rain,' 'Bayonetta,' and 'Mass Effect 2.' Will they hold up all year long? Only time will tell.

Mass Effect 2, Heavy Rain, and Gow 3 should definitely be up for game of the year. All great and I'm very happy that Heavy Rain is selling so well because I would love to see more games like this come out.

I think God of War was good but I was amazed more by Heavy Rain. I mean it is hard to put the controller down wondering what you are going to experience next. It was astounding with the plot and the multiple endings.

God of War is also amazing and the puzzles are better than the last ones. There is a balance between the killing and puzzles that i admire more than the previous ones. I also liked the mini game where Aphrodite's mistresses say, "Parents should definitely not let their kids watch this. This is for mature audiences only"

I think that GOW3 is the best ps3 game so far this year. not sayin that the other games aren't good, just sayin its the best in my opinion. Yea, the sequence could have been better and all the flashbacks were annoying but it has way better graphics and much better weapons than the others. Also, it was harder to root for being that he only wanted revenge. And Chaos mode is hard as HELL to beat!

I thought God of War 3 was a big disappointment, in terms of story and characters. The game is more of the same, with the same problems of previous iterations.

There's a lot of padding out with cookie-cutter puzzles, that shouldn't happen in such a short game. The platforming is still shoddy, resulting in more deaths than combat. There were not enough Titans and the Kratos character is so aggravatingly boring to root for, and he has truly cringe-worthy dialogue.

Oh boy, that ending. You couldn't find a more anti-climatic ending, but what's worse is they mess it up an OK ending by the thing after the credits.

im so happy bayonetta was mentioned in this list. i was starting to think that people were slowly forgetting how great it was. And to those that do not think it should have been mentioned because of its ewird plot and terrible voice acting (or because it is not a AAA title)i think by all means heavy rain shouldnt be mentioned either simply because you can barely call heavy rain a game. Bayonetta may not be a AAA title, but guess what? I liked it more than a recent AAA action game that just came out, had a terrible ending, and that is on the list as well (i believe readers are smart enough to know what game i am talking about). bayonetta definetely has my vote for best action game of the year. best action game i have ever played. (and yes i did play that other game i mentined above, and it was great!, but bayonetta was simply awesome!!)

For me, GOW 3 is my favorite then Mass Effect 2. Bayonetta is very good too, but i'm really disappointed with the PS3 version. Why the hell would the PS3 version be so inferior? It doesn't make any damn sense. GOW 3 everyone. Still playing every bit of it and loving it.

For me personally, it has been Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and Just Cause 2.

I say BC2 mainly because I'm in the mood for a shooter that actually uses common sense, unlike a certain other modern shooter. BC2 delivered my needs. lol

I say Just Cause 2 because, well, I just think it's amazing for what it does. Not to mention Panau is gorgeous. Although the voice acting makes my ears bleed....

I plan on getting Heavy Rain pretty soon. So maybe that will end up being my GOTY so far. Who knows?
