Feedback -- We're Back From PAX East Edition, Plus Halo: Reach Talk
Adam Sessler is out this week, but Patrick Klepek takes over hosting duties with Andrew Pfister, Matt Keil and Abbie Heppie to hash out PAX East, Halo: Reach's player investment system and more.

First of all, I was excited to see my comment make the show. Excited in a "That's my words on the computer box!" kind of way. O.K., 3-D is the devil. Tres diablo. They shouldn't even be allowed to call them 3-D televisions. They are televisions capable of creating the illusion of 3-D, in combination with some goofy glasses or some other nonsense. Nonsense! If Nintendo has some new revolutionary way to present 3-D that is going to change everything, then I'm all for it. Since I highly doubt that, I'm not sold.

Why would I want motion control on the PS3? I've said this before but is dual motion assassinations all that's missing from Assassin's Creed? Just jabbing though the air with a couple of "Move"s or what ever they wanna call them. Really? Move?

Great job covering Patrick and I totally agree with Abbie, leave these events closed to the public. With the amount of TV and web coverage it gets, you're not gonna miss anything. I wanna see new games and tech, not herds of moderately to severely overweight cosplay characters. Cloud didn't wear size XXXXL chain mail dude. Why don't you take a few months and cosplay a jogger. Seriously.

Seriously though, I enjoy this show more and more every week, none of my friends are really into gaming, so this is a good way for me to see the kinds of conversations I'd like to be having.

I have now stopped the video at about 17:30 to address the camera guy: WTF dude? I can handle the occasional window reflection shot of someone's face (heck, I could even escape to a fantasy land and pretend that's done for space issues or something instead of intentional artistic license), but c'mon! I know you must get bored of the same 2~3 shots of the same 4 people for 45+ minutes, but we'll all get through it better without you flipping the camera on its side...w/e, it's 2am and I hate being critical (do I?), but that just bugged me for no good reason.

Keep up the good work & thanks for filming these at all.

No obscure references or sweetbread love confessions this week, but it's okay, because Patrick did a bang-up job as host and the panel basically encompassed all of my favourites.

Great discussion as always, guys, it was great to hear your thoughts on PAX East - particularly APB and Breach (a game which hadn't been on my radar).

The only thing I will say about Breach is that while it sounds cool that Atomic Games are bringing a lot of elements of realism into it, realism doesn't really mean better. In fact in a lot of cases I think it can prove to be a detriment. The hallmarks of FPS - those actions in real life that are 'retarded' - remain hallmarks for a reason; they're fun. Still, kudos to Breach for doing something different and trying to bring a new set of tactics into the FPS.

Big thanks for responding to my question, by the way - I particularly found Andrew Pfister's comments really interesting.

First of all Abbie I'm a really big fan and a fellow gamer girl. I'm kind of envious of your success at G4. I would love to have even a smidgen of your job. I want to intern at the studios but it's all a matter of finding a place to live since I live in Washington/Oregon. And LA kind of seems like a scary place to live haha.

Also. Camera men. Calm down. I don't need crazy close ups. I don't need upside-down/tilted shots. I don't need pointless window reflections. This isn't the real world in the 90s. Please, please just shoot straight and normal. I would be so appreciative. :)

You did a fine job, Klepek....but a hallucinating Sessler hosting the show would have been way more interesting.

The Halo PIS (which is kinda funny...PIS) is a great idea. Even though its only cosmetic, i still mostly play team deathmatch with my friends. If we can all wear the same kind of armor or run around with the same helmets and color schemes, that is totally cool.

I think there should be a gaming convo in the south. I live there and nothing comes here.....

I also have to say i am really tired of Sony/Microsoft bash-a-thon that has been going on since the launch of the 360 and PS3.... We are three or more years in the launch of both systems and people have made up their minds. I own both for different reasons. Xbox for my shooters and PS3 for god of war and blu-ray. I don't need Sony being all high and mighty about the PS move (which looks creepy) and saying they looked at the Natal stuff and passed. Sony is going Wii HD and a camera. I don't have an Eyetoy and i don't want one, so the Move has nothing for me. Natal seems interesting, but i am waiting for E3 to see more. Time to put your "junk" away Sony and Microsoft. Just keeping bring the video game goodness and leave us in peace.....Same goes for the fan boys.

Patrick, you are the new Sess. Take the throne, so then Abbie can take it from you.

Awesome show. All the talk about PAX East me so mad I never made it there. Was waiting to hear back from a friend about if he wanted to visit so we could go, and then I read on penny-arcade that it was sold out. Worst day ever. It's even more tantalizing since Hynes and the Prudential are literally down the street from where I live in Boston.

    Another great show!
Well on the note of the halo reach customization they are going to have to pack in a lot of different armor types. Halo3 you could customize your guy, but after a little bit everyone had all of the different armor so it really didn't matter. Another thing is when you play with your friends your going to be on a "team" game type so everyone is going to be 1 of 2 colors, so everyone kind of just ends up blending together any way. Oh well, its going to be interesting to see what they do.

Though i think it was Sterling McGarvey walking by in a Chewbacca mask....lol

More Character Customization in shooters would be nice. Rainbow Six Vegas had some really nice customization, not only in what you could wear, but also in what color and crazy pattern it was. It's always a laugh when you see a crazy blue, green, yellow and red outfit running around the map.

This better not be G4's way of easeing Patric into adams spot. Sorry big Sessler fan here and Patric is no Adam. Now say that i think Patric is the future but he is not the now. Now that i got that out of the way it was an awsome show, ive been with this show since Ep 1, when that dude with the glasses hosted it (what ever happend to him). Anyway keep up the good work guys show is awsome.

this was one of my favorite feedbacks. Sorry adam, but i just like pax and evry game mentions was on my list to watch for. Patrick did a great job stepping into the big boy shoes and with to distractions from abbie that made my day. Yetis are very cool and it reminded me of when Blair put his stomach up against the glass. Thanks for the great show keep it coming!
