The only motion control I'm intrestead in is natal. And I don't want it to play games, but I really want to move the interface with my hands.

If I'm going to buy Move I've been saying the same thing for over a year: LIGHTSABER

Well I hope there will be games that you can decide to use the wand type of controller for sword games
and the games should decide he can use the handheld controller.

First of all I think the Playstation move looks pretty awesome from what I have seen and im a hardcore gamer my god I waited inside GameStop for two hours last night just to get god of war 3 at the stoke of midnight but at least with games like Socom 4 Playstation is giving you an option to play with the classic controller or the move instead of Nintendo forcing you to use the Wii mote on pretty much all their games and natal defiantly not going to give the option probably. Also I dont think parents or older people are going to be like lets play some natal or move their is no way that is happening thats just wishful thinking call it casual but I dont see grandpa waving his hands in front of the screen like a moron they may have for the Wii but I dont see that many people making the transition.

I agree with Adam, please, Lucas Arts, someone, any developer, make a lightsaber game using Move and Natal.

i am not a big ps fan but if they got a lightsaber game i would sell my xbox and all my games just to play anyways i think the whole move thing is just a gimick there just doing it to get into kiddy and old folk homes market like the wii i don't think its going to sell more ps3 like they think it will but i think people that already have a ps3 and don't have a wii will get it and it will sit and collect dust like my and every one elses wii the hardcore gamer has no intrest in playing motion control games

Now, when he says "lightsaber game", he's specifically talking about Star Wars, right?

As much as I love Nintendo, I think that the PSMove SHOULD be superior to the Wii remote. Sony has had almost four years to work on the technology. It's time for it to evolve. Still, if they don't make good use of it (Loads of mini-game collections), they'll fall into the same space Nintendo is in right now, where you'll have to scavange through shovelware to find the good stuff.
Now the question is how will nintendo react, although I'm pretty sure what Reggie's answer to Sony adn the rest of the press will be: We're flattered by Sony, but we focus on what's ours

If they treat it like a console launch (t like the PS1 and PS2 launch, not how they treated the PS3 launch) then this could be a day one buy.

Oh Look, The Tester, another one of Sony's fine generic rip-off's of a existing product or intellectual property.

    It Only Duz Everythang Guise

(On a sidenote, why the hell did The Tester immediately get rid of the Nerd? I was truly loving the guy and they just swept him aside, oh well.)

I have all systems, Wii with that of course, and to me this just seems like they are trying to piggy back. I don't think they need it tbh, but they will go with what gets more sales.

Motion controls really don't bother me, I've seen some interesting examples on the Wii so it can be used to good effect for sure, but it's not something that makes me feel more pulled into the game.

Well, I don't like motion control, but I have different reasons than most: http://forums.g4tv.com/showthr ead.php?p=2497349#post2497349< br />
I agree with pretty much all Adam said, except the part where he talks about the games being able to use either the Move or the DualShock. From the videos of different games, it seems apparent that some are made with the Move specifically in mind, and others, like a shooter such as SOCOM, where it's an option. For games that aren't made with the Move in mind, I don't see the Move being used much for practical reasons . . . I think the vast majority will play with a controller for games, especially when in a competitive sense.

A Star Wars game with awesome lightsaber controls would force me to get the Move. End of story.

this probably means that capcom is going to port over there resident evil rail shooters and also id love to see a lightsaber game but red steel 2 has a sword and thatll do for now.

A lot of people seem to miss the main point of the move.

Most of us gamers who have already adopted are looking at the product and saying "how does this make me feel", when the real question people should be asking is "how does this make people who don't own ps3's feel".

We are so conditioned to believe that new products will equal total abandonment. but sony has a history of alternative family based games that do relatively well enough for the markets they are intended for (buzz comes to mind) while at the same time playing towards their core audience.

Basically my point is this, the wii made the motion controler the only control solution, so there was an obligation towards it because it was always there and was marketed as the sole purpose for the existence of the system; while the move is being marketed as a peripheral that taps into a market that currently doesn't have any reason to buy into the ps3.

one thing about the move is that a regular controller would have an unfair advantage in a shooter. It would be much harder for a headshot with the move. very satisfying though

Am I the only person noticing the striking resemblance between the Playstation Move and a Sci-Fi laser gun that looks straight out of the 50s?

I'm not really interested because it adds nothing to the table. The Wii has this already.
Natal interests me because there is NO CONTROLLER. That is at least something new and should be interesting to watch.
