PS3 Version has 1080p and un-compressed audio it will be a better experience over all no matter what. As long as you have the proper hardware to take advantage of all that.

What's the point of this article other than to start a flame war? There's never enough of a difference between games for comparison videos to matter.

PS3 has more vibrant color and the resolution looks a LOT better. The 360 version still looks good but it's very obvious this was designed for the PS3.... I just wish they would develop more games for the PS3 instead of the 360 so we could get A higher quality product in the end... Games developed on the 360 that are ported still don't even look as good as ff13 does on the 360 so if the developers would spend the cash and work on the PS3 instead we could get a higher quality product in the end and the 360 version will still look like the other games developed for it...

They look about the same..I would rather see actual gameplay footage comparisons than cut scenes.

As always they look almost the same other than the 360 version looks slightly darker. Dont tell the fanboys that though.

Why on EARTH did you do this comparison with the PRE-RENDERED cutscene? There's only a few seconds of footage actually rendered by the consoles and then that's so brief no real comparison can be made.

Wow, yeah definetly the PS3 version looks better. The opening you can tell as the sky isn't as vibrant and the lush green of the mountains are muddied up. Inside the train it clears up alot to where they are nearly identical but when it goes back in on Lightenings face. Her hair breaks all up and looses the silky smoothness and looks all dry and brittle on the 360 version. Someone needs to Pantene Pro-V that version, stat!

I have a big boxy SD TV. Doesn't bother me which looks better.

I also have no money to buy the game.

I'm not that tech savy, I just like games, so personally I don't understand the value in including pre-rendered cut scenes in a side by side comparison. Aren't the actual in game comparisons the ones that really matter? It's not like you have the option of blu ray HD cutscenes on the PS3. I have both consoles and although there are definitely considerations for me at times on choosing which version for multiple platform games to get(for example Bayonetta load times were much better on Xbox 360 while Darksiders performance was better on PS3 (much less screen tearing)) all of that usually boils down to performance (and to me reflects the developer's expertise with the hardware). Overall graphic quality on these games is really not noticeable to me. The graphical comparisons of platform specific games (a Gears of War 2 versus Heavy Rain type of thread) can be argued all day long but is really pointless. As a gamer, I'm very happy they have comparable graphical abilities when push comes to shove. If it weren't for those hardware exclusives, (Gears of Wars, Halos, Mass Effects, Infamous, God of Wars, Uncharteds, etc. etc.) then gamers would be well served by either depending on their needs and/or wallet. Don't get me wrong, I think competition is very necessary for anything to continue to evolve or get better. However, I'm an older gamer (won't say old ;) ) and I still have my old systems (atari 2600, 8 bit nintendo (castlevania!), TGFX-16 CD (Y's Books 1 and 2!!), a Neo Geo, Atari Jaguar (and Lynx! ha!) and it's amazing, especially when I look at the "CD" era of my TGFX CD and Sega CD and to see how I'm now playing games whose graphical quality far exceeds the cut scenes from those previous games. So I guess what this old fogey is saying, while it's nice to argue the finer points, I try not to forget it hasn't been that long since a few pixels and beeps was enough to make all us neanderthals hoot and jump around like it was the next obelisk from 2001 a Space Odyssey.

its finalfantasy!!!! who cares how much better it looks graphicaly. the way i see it how much better it plays is all about the gameplay. not whether its one or 3 discs.....

on 1:40 the right eye is bigger than the left and it looks like her hair is a solid on the left and not a liquid. other than that you can't tell the difference on a video file that isn't in HD.

Aside from the 360 version being a slight bit darker, there isn't much of a difference. Course I've never been one of those people to care enough to stare at a screen for hours to point out tiny differences.

Wow, they were right, the 360 has muted colors, low res textures, and a whole bunch of defects. Man, am I glad I saw this happening and pre-ordered the PS3 version.
