You guys forgot to mention how Infinity Ward formed, I think it applies here as it gives you an insight of what might happen.

Infinity Ward is made up of members of former EA studio that made Medal of Honor, they broke away from EA because they weren't given the creative freedom that they wanted.

Now back to the present, Activision doesn't want to give the Head Devs at IW the freedom to control their own studio, thus why the heads were so upset and likely lead them to be insubordinate. (Speculation of course).

Now what happens to Infinity Ward now? Well I can almost guarentee you that the future Infinity Ward wont be made up of current members. Activision will likely have to restructure the whole studio and just milk the studio's name. Because I am sure that the senior team members are going to follow the founders out the door.

I don't know about any of you, but i'm just not that hyped for any more CoD of MW, and there's two or three more coming out by 2011? I know that any future CoD/MW won't be as big for me as MW2 was and producing any more titles under the same IP's just seems like milking, and sorry but I don't take mild from a dead cow.

I just want to point out there are other companies or divisions of Activision that will make COD games.... but IW will still make MW and COD type games at the very least.

RIP Call of duty...... Your were my favoirte pc game. It does'nt feel right without IW But hey Let see how far actvison can go without ruining the Franchise.

Why is Everybody HATIN' on Pat? i think he's cool, knows what he's talking about, does his research, has a level (albeit Fuzzy) head, can report on the spot, and as that one guy said, Adam, watch out he's gonna have your job soon if you aren't careful. Although Adam has all these qualities and in greater quantity, it is only because of experience. In summation, they are both awesome game reporters. Quit hatin' for no reason. (watch FEEDBACK, you will know what i mean.)

I think there was talk of royalties not paid to Infinity Ward and the two guys might have scouted other companies to get hired.

This will have no effect on the COD franchise. Can anyone name the group of producers who headed up Avatar? And do you think any of them contributed as much as one percent as James Cameron did to the final product? Of course not. It is the creators who are responsible for these games, not a bunch of empty suits.
