i agree with godps3 14 he really sucks i thinks he was trying to find snipers in the building.i bet its a 10 year old kid playing and looks like his first time playing

Does anyone notice the playing in the background? That guy playing is terrible! He wanders into radiation and dies. Plus this whole situation is dumb, Activision is stupid. MW2 isn't that great anymore, the next COD should be Treyarch's which is good. They need to sort this out soon.

we can look at this as a positive thing. just think about, IW can become a really big company and create their own games
Wildcard273
Anybody have problems watching this video? It keeps stopping on me.

How come everyone is saying that this is the end when the guy said that everyone agreed that the franchise must go on? I hate how people are so quick to whine about something. Especially in thgis situation. No one said that COD was up in there. The guy said that it will go on!

Not like I was going to buy another Call of Duty game, let alone one from Infinity Ward. The way they handled all of the glitches/bugs in the online multiplayer was poor, an embarrassment if I were a game studio. Then the way IW killed the online multiplayer with redundant perks was a bad idea. Dont even get me started on the host migration, lol like that ever works.

So, all of these IW fanboys have been yelling and screaming for nothing- Activision IS IW.
Lutenant_Dan
all i got out of these posts was that there is gunna be a couple new COD games coming out, when, and is the multiplayer gunna be as fake as modern warfare 2? seriously, how many of you love being commandoed from 15 feet away... make it like real life

Adam Sessler and his young ward, Patrick Klepek break it down for the people on g4tv.com!

This was a good talkabout. I know I was confused as hell when this story broke the other night, because the way I read it kinda thought it was a joke at first. I also didn't know Activision owned IW until last night and this helped explain a lot more. Good job guys.

If I had to guess, I'd say this "insubordination", probably had something to do with this new IP Infinity Ward wanted to develop. Probably using company resources to develop a prototype version without permission from the higher ups, after Activision rejected the idea.

Please stop giving this guy video or TV time. He has a major face for radio and really scares me

cool a WoW style CoD game. <== majot sarcasm! The whole thing started being crap the moment they decided not to have dedi servers for MW2, now they are going to pay to play an action/adventure style CoD...not me. Also more than likely the older games will not be playable eventually since they all go through a master server...say bye bye CoD, it'd been fun.

According to Gamespot, there is a new developer called Sledgehammer games that will be creating a new Call of Duty. They confirmed that Treyarch will make Call of Duty 7 but Sledgehammer Games will create the next Call of Duty after that. It is supposed to be a third person shooter and be treated like World of Warcraft. Meaning in my opinion that they will charge monthly. Cant say I am too interested in this game.

I have to say, Activision is insane. The MW2 series is stronger than the historical series in COD.
One question to consider is the timing of this change. I find it very interesting that this action fell on the eve for the release of Bad Company2, as it is quite possible that Bad Company will take a large share of players away from MW2.
Regardless of the reasons for this action, Activision is likely to suffer a financial blow...The COD series may be their IP, but the people at Infinity Ward who believed in their leaders will start looking at the reasons for and against leaving...COD is likely to suffer in creativity, and the fans and shareholders will show displeasure when that occurs.
Cheers,
RaQin

Here's the third hand skinny.
Activision had not been paying IW their royalties. IW started looking around for other publishers to partner with, which is a breach of their contract. Activision had not yet reached the point where not paying the royalties was a breach of contract. This allowed Activision to step in, remove the head of IW, and insert their own puppets, while getting out of paying IW their royalties because technically they broke contract first.
CATS:
How are you gentleman!
Do not listen to balding pedophile and frizzy haired douche bag. My good friend Kotick is a great CEO and does our organization proud.. no Infinity Ward ZIG shall ever overcome any of his decisions!
Anyways it serves them right.. the videogame developer union should have elevated crooked management that would have had the mob watching their back against our hired goons. Why do you think CATS has not being able conquer the steel workers of America hmm?

wow... I like to bash IW for taking a dump on PC gamers with doing so little, but with this coming to light and the frank conversations with PC gamers before relating to the features in the game, it seems like Activision may have been the driving force behind the massive D&ck move done on the PC gaming community. Kotic is a money grubbing businessman, IW makes games...
wonder how this plays out

heh I laughed when he said DICEy.
