project horned owl was one of the best rail shooters for the ps1..
Ever read a choose your own adventure book as a kid? Did you enjoy it? Then buy this game. Enough said. Also, the basketball shooting is extra as is most of the stuff in the game that isn't action or story driven. You don't have to do it. You don't have to go close that window, drink a cup of coffee, have that gorgeous chick take a nude shower, (butt for the ladies too) and hell you don't even have to let your people live. If they die the story continues on. Every choice you makes changes everything around you. Piss people off and see how different things quickly change for you. Name one other game that lets you pick any one of seven objects to cut a finger off with. It isn't pretty. Nuff said!
Loved it. I'm only 2 trophies away from a platinum, then I gotta wait for all the DLC to come out lol...But anyways, the graphics are amazing, the soundtrack is amazing, the voice acting is iffy at times (although they DID cast mostly European actors....), you get used to the walking, and the story is amazingly deep. I wish there could have been more ARI crime scene investigations with more challenge in kind of a Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney kid of way, but I still loved it. The ARI desk interface is also a bit weird...not much of a challenge in analyzing clues. Also, be prepared for an EXTREMELY depressing game. I felt like a little emo kid for 2 days after beating it and getting one of the GOOD endings xDDespite that, though, there are a couple lulzworthy moments, if you make the right choices....But yeah. Enough ranting. Freaking awesome game that they need to make a sequel for. Or not. Can't make up my mind on whether I want them to or not.....depends on the next DLC content....
"Alan Fake..."That make absolutely no sense whatsoever.Congrats, I guess! Also, while both games place a heavy emphasis on narrative, they're both radically different games. But, of course, you're being a trollish fanboy, so what should one expect from you?Like Heavy Rain, I have no doubt that Alan Wake will be an absolutely fantastic experience. Unlike raging fanboys (ie: yourself), I will happily own both (I already own and have completed Heavy Rain twice). So it's your loss there, bub.
A lot better then Alan Wake or Call it Alan Fake.I got to rent this game!
:,( why can't i afford a damn PS3 yet?
one of the best games i have played. i finished it right before the meltdown
I just played the demo 2 weeks ago and I couldn't stop grinning from the fresh new gameplay and controls. It's always good to get a breath of fresh air in this wake of sequels.P.S. SHAUUUN!!! LOL
i was skeptical at first, but this is one of the best games i have ever played. the voice work is a little off, but the gameplay is so intense, i spent most of the game sitting straight or standing up, and even broke into a sweat a few times.
I don't know why they had so much trouble walking. It's really not that hard. Good review though.
I just finished this...incredible story. Best I've seen in a game, hands-down.
I played the demo and I liked it, I don't mind the simple things like pulling out an asthma pump. I want to buy it, but damn I'm on a saving mission.
Be warned, this game has tediuos slow parts like shaving and changing a diaper! Plus feeding and burping and rocking and on and on and on...Other than the five to ten minutes of sheer boredom, the detective sequences and action sequences are awesome! The QTEs arent as bad as you would think... at all.Cant wait to see my ending! There are very diffrent endings.
This is a video game I will definitly get when I am able to purchase a playstation 3.
I really want to play this game. The whole idea behind it is great.
