    Favorite show.
The quality of Feedback keeps getting better.
G4 should eventually put this on TV. Way better than Cops.

Young vs older gamers for me comes down to. My son who is 13 loves to rush through games like Gears of War. He charges in and get killed but will repeat that tactic until he wins. When I play a Gears of war I do more pop and shoot tactics. I look for cogs and enjoy the combat feel of the game. My son does not get that effect because he is rushing into combat. That is a very bad thing when we play split screen.

hey guys great show, i had an idea for an alternative term for heavy rain's quicktime events id like to share. Decisive Gestural Interactions or DGIs i think would be a better term for this style of gameplay.

I have an idea of what to call Heavy Rain's so called quick time events. seeing as they are deeper and based more on gestures than a non descript button on the screen the could be called Decisive Gestural Interaction or DGI for short.

well i think its good as a new term.

Another great feedback. The Heavy Rain discussion may have been the tipping point for me to go out and buy a PS3. I've been debating on whether or not to buy one, mainly because I have plenty to keep me busy on my 360, but I really want to try Heavy Rain now. Thanks for shining some light on a game I was really skeptical about.

I'll have to admit, I was very skeptical myself initially going in to play Heavy Rain. For months I had my doubts, then the reviews started pouring in; Some good, some bad, a mixed bunch really but nothing too severe, then the demo comes out and my heart sank and I almost didn't buy the game..

Cut to release date and I decided to pick it up anyways on a whim.... let me tell you that Demo does not do the entire game justice. All i have to say about this game is, Wow....

It definitely has it's flaws, I don't think anyone denies that and there are some rather lacking voice acting that is inconsistent throughout the game and depending on which route you take there are several endings that could either make you love the ending or hate it, but I think all these flaws pale in comparison to the entire experience of this game.

If you are a PS3 owner you MUST play this game. Whether you are willing to buy it or rent it, or borrow it from a friend. It is truly a unique title that shouldn't be missed.

    Older gamers FTW!

1977. 32 years old. The first game I remember playing was called "Parsec" it was a side scrolling space shooter on some sort of Texas Instruments edumacational machine! Loved it! Soon after came Atari. Breakout, Pitfall, Mario Bros. Then came the NES. Mario got Super. Somewhere in there I got some pc games. A Middle Earth deal that I think was called War of the Ring. Loved me some Ski or Die and in high school there was DOOM. But before we even got there, during middle school years it was all bout Sega Genesis. Altered beast and Double Dragon. Oh and sooooo many quarters at the arcade for Street Fighter 2 and many many others. Eventually out on my own I was a real grown up twenty year old who got himself a playstation. The frist games I really became obsessed with were Tomb Raider 2 and Resident Evil 2. Eventually I discovered FFVII and gave that thing a couple hundred hours of my life. Dream cast oh Dreamcast why did you die? Phantasy Star Online, NFL 2k, Shenmue. DOOM was the first thing I ever played with a dial up connection, PSO was the first time I ever made friends with an online avatar of a stranger. And the first time I ever played competetive sports online. Obviously I am an avid gamer and currently own all three systems (but Ill prolly trade in my wii soon to go toward replacing my slowly dying xbox). Thing is there are kids playing Halo and Call of Duty today that were born when Adam and I were playing Dreamcast. So yes, I definately think older gamers have a better appreciation for the things games can do. I mean just think about the first time you actually got to speak to the people you were playing games with in something like Halo or SOCOM. Imagine if you had grown up with that being common. Having experienced the evolution I think we older gamers have a better sense of what it took to get where games are today.

"The Kids Today" just can't se it the same way. :-)

Does anyone else think that the camera men deserve some credit for doing a great job at keeping the already good conversation interesting.

Sorry but without Abbie it just seems like a bunch of nerds sitting around talking about video games. Ohh wait.

I guess even with Abbie it's a bunch of nerds sitting around talking about games. But at least there is a pretty girl in the room.

Anyway. Keep up the good work guys, (and hopefully girls again soon).

I guess Sterling can be the pretty girl this week.

Well I guess if there might be spoilers of heavy rain i will have to watch it later. It's the one game where I've been on a total media blackout.

I feel like a chicken with it's head cut off, there are so many titles I want right now, Heavy Rain is definitely one of them, I'm so excited I don't know what to do with the money in my account. I really enjoyed the DICE videos(even the one with the really bad camera work). In regards to the question, I do think some gamers only play video games to cure boredom, I know a few of them who don't respect it like I do but I often hear the "I'm bored so I guess I'll play my game system now" speech. On the same note, I know quite a few young gamers like the ages of 9 and younger who are thoroughly addicted to video games because they are completely and utterly in love with them. Myself in particular I never actually got to play video games as early as I would've liked but when I got my first personal gaming system (the PS1) I dove in head first I didn't get to play nearly as many games as I do now back then but I have built an insane amount of respect for the gaming medium, I can relate to gaming so much.

Just finished my first playthrough of Heavy Rain. What an experience. Played it for 6 hours straight, I couldn't put the controller down. Buy this game.
