So.. Same crappy camera, no decent downloadable games, no intenet tabs, and fits even less in a pocket.. Pros? Larger pokemon experience :D

I think I'll stick with the old ds

Nintendo is one smart cookie, If they wanted they could of have made a ds with psp graphics a long time ago. But they choose to upgrade the ds little by little. From the orginal ds to the ds lite, to dsi and now ds xl. Smart formula, but after a while people will grow tired of the next version of the ds.

I like the bigger screens and camera (don't need 2) but it seems like Nintendo is bent on getting every dollar out of you with their redo's and shovelware. I understand improving a product but they take it two steps beyond that. Besides, if you want a igger screen, better resolution, online and good 3D and 2D games with a an online store with variety then the PSP wins hands down.

Nintendo is the reason why the console industry sucks and no one makes money on them. I was showing my aunt and uncle the greatness of the PS3 and 360 and they were impressed but just shrugged them off and said "Well, they'll release something better in a few months" Nintendo needs to slow down, concentrate on making some good games for the consoles they have out now instead of releasing a new console or game boy every year.

In my opinion, I think the DSi and DSi XL is only for people that either:
    -New to portable gaming
-Don't have a huge DS library
-Tired of DS / DS Lite
But even though I have one...I'm tempted for asking for a iPod Touch LOL

It would be mega cool if it had a GBA slot!
but...it looks awesome I will most likely buy one!

im waiting for the double dsi... i mean really here this is just getting stupid and this is what is killing handheld gaming all these stupid upgrade systems! why can they not just make a good handheld...but have expansion ports on it for addons? or better yet...make your handheld with everything in it THE FIRST TIME so i dont have to rebuy what i already own 50 times.

I use to be a Nintendo Fan Boy, like most kids I knew we had handhelds but not consuls. I had the original Gameboy for eight years and did not get a new one till the first game boy advance came out. But one the SP came out with the back lit screen because I hated having to lean different directions to catch the light on my screen. I even got the Micro because I thought and even still do but immediately the DS came out afterwords. I still have that DS and still use it I resisted the urge to purchase the Lite but caved when the DSi came out . I never use the "extra" features on the DSi except the camera ever once in a while. The trailer for DSi XL (does it need any more letters) kind of pisses me off. Who wants people looking over their shoulder when playing a game get your own you cheap bastard. Nintendo is going with their appeal to parents model, personally I would get my kid an I pod touch over a DS, at least that way they could watch a movie, listen to music, or play a game. I hate to say it but Unless Nintendo does something to make me want to get a Wii in the next year I'm might have to give up on Nintendo completely.

The ONLY thing I play on the DS is Pokemon. Because the DS Pokemon games require the GBA slot in order to have access to all the features in the game, buying any form of DSI makes no sense for me, or anyone else that plays Pokemon.

Eh they aren't adding enough new things to make me want to buy this. I love my DS Lite and always have it with me when i travel...I don't need something this clunky in my bag with my Lite is doing just fine.

I just got a DSi a couple months ago when it first came out i dont plan on spending another 16? something dollars fo the same exact thing but just bigger if i do get it then it will be because my current DSi breaks or i need to replace it for some reason.

They are adding way to many features to the device. Yeah its to attract a wide audience, some of it seems pointless.

Wait... so the DS came out, then they made it thinner and smaller, now it's bigger again? And no more backwards compatibility? That kinda sucks.
