Feedback Field Trip -- DICE 2010 Edition
G4's Away Team took Feedback into the field at DICE 2010, sitting down with Gearbox's Randy Pitchford of Borderlands fame, and Dr. Peter Raad, Founder and Executive Director of The Guildhall at SMU.

i must disagree with you guys about bobby kotics speech. i'll be the first to tell you that i don't like bobby kotic in the least. but his speech actually made me think more of him. i actually think he may be a cyborg, as opposed to a completely cybertronic organism. and i don't know why everyone is going crazy over borderlands. it's got solid gameplay (hard to mess up for a shooter)and some funny parts, but it's got all the bad parts of a mmo, recycled enemies and items, combined with some pretty sub par storytelling, it's not that good.

Thank you very much G4 for putting all of the Dice Summit speeches on the site! It is quite possibly the best material I've seen here. Much appreciated!

Dr. Peter Raad should be the next world's most interesting man with his charming accent, dashing looks, magnetic personality.

I'd love to see Dr. Raad share his thoughts with the audience of fox news. " Video games can be beneficial to society!!!" -flatline-... +5 to witty commentary, yes life the rpg was my idea. But rather than whine about it I guess I should just be satisfied that it was so well recieved.

I tried to get a haircut before DICE. As evidenced, I failed.

Thanks for covering DICE 10, G4. All the speaches were interesting but felt alittle less usefull for me the viewer from your site. So for DICE 11-assuming that you cover it next year-can you have the cameraperson point the camers at the big screen with the suposedly interesting slides so I can see them? I don't need to see the person to hear them talking. Its great that you gave the people their 15 minutes of fame but some of what they were talking about was un-understandable to me because I couldn't see their slides.
    Thanks for readding my comment.

That Peter Read guy is freakin awesome. I've always believed games were a form of art, but until this moment I could never describe how. The gearbox guy was great too, Im totally conviced i can never be disappointed by an episode of feedback.

Wow both interviews were really interesting, especially with the doctor. Not sure if I agree completely with his allegory about art in video games but I did think it was interesting and its something I am going to have to think about. Well at least I know that if I want to go into video games, I now know where to go. :P

Since I'm interested in going into gaming development I find DICE fascinating, like this Feedback. Its always interesting to see the brains behind the industry.
