@SpectreShepard. really....i did not know that. thanks for clearing it up for me. I remember reading about colonial marines a few months ago and when i saw the title that said aliens colonial marines i thought it was the same game. lol

Nice atmosphere, and I have no complaints what so ever about the darkness, thats what the flares are for so you can light your way through. And best of all they're unlimited.

actually this is a completely different game. there's aliens vs. preditor then theres aliens colonial marines thats coming out later this year. This is aliens colonial marines.

As much as i enjoyed the first two AvP games for the PC I am very weary of this new multi-species outing. Having tried the multiplayer demo for the PS3 it was a constant battle to find a match let alone being able to pick a certain race to try out all the little tricks and tactics to really get a feel for what makes each side unique. More over FFA Deathmatch is probably the weakest game type for this series so it's not surprising those who tried the demo left it disappointed.
The thing that really worries me is how Rebellion was late to get review copies out to the various websites/critics on the net. Granted I've never been one to let an article alone determine if I purchase a game but with so many questions to the games single player and multi-player quality it's disconcerting to see a somewhat lack of faith in the product. Time will tell how wise of a mood this was but with so many great titles already out and many more mere weeks or months away this game, even with all of its fanboyistic charm, is going to have an uphill battle.

Let's be honest who the hell is going to play the human Single player campaign? Maybe after I beat the other two and then get tired of Multiplayer.

this game will be a rental for me. the multiplayer demo wasn't that great. the only thing i dug of it were the fatalities. don't know who would play the space marines story when probably in the end you'll be screwed over by weyland yutani as usual. i'm sure the predator and aliens storylines are above and beyond better.
i don't know if its just me but i got a very been there done that kind of scenario when u meet up with your squadmates. it felt too much like the scenario in fear 2 project origin.

The alien corpse is burned by it's own blood
NOT SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN
Their skin protects them from the acidic blood

Gameplay looks awesome although from what I saw in the demo was no aiming, looks like run and gun if you're a marine, and the voice acting doesn't seem all that great with the exception of Lance Henrikson.
