i think alot of people think halo isnt the great shooter it once was and bungie has relized that and are going to fix it with this one and the people that put down halo 3 need to relize that that came out and alot of games used it as a base of what makes a good game

HOLY CRAP!!!!!!!!!!! I was there for the first Halo I will be there for the last!

Not to say that I think Halo is the best game ever but its up there with the GTA, MW, Gears, Dead Space, and BF franchises as far as graphics wise, innovation, epic battles, and story.

halo 1 = awesome, halo 2 = awesome, halo 3 = bad,
halo odst = bad, halo wars = alright i guess
halo reach = ?

I'm getting the vibe that they really wanted this game to feel like we the players are playing Halo 1for the first time all over again. I got to admit, that is a very exciting prospect. If they can recapture what made Halo 1 so great, then this game will succeed for sure.

When a company like Bungie says they completely overhauled and fine-tuned their game engine I get excited. I'm not sure I like the "sandbox" vs. "scripted storyline" argument though. Neither one is necessarily better, but Halo was sort of in the top tier for FPS scripted storyline...I don't know how that will translate into a sandbox setting...I hope they still have a difficulty curve and don't shoot themselves in the foot right off the bat.

I never been a huge fan of halo series quite frankly I'm kinda of sick of them. But this here for some reason has me interested. Maybe because the graphics is a huge improvement and the developers are focusing more on the story. Hopefully less purple and green and they focus more on a gritty look on the game, kind of like Killzone2!
