I want to see a preemptive GOTY for Fallout NV to make up for the Fable 2 disappointment.

So here's a wild idea...any chance you all can buck journalistic trends and actually abandon the rating system? I know Sessler has voiced his displeasure for years (it seems) over readers/viewers only taking stock in a numerical value that tries to quantify quality, and all of his points have been valid. Plus, it's hardly consistent with other reviewers who may use a scholastically-based A, B, C, etc. rating system or a 1-10 scale, or a 1-10 scale that includes decimal places in increments of 1. Plain and simple, it's messed up that Metacritic.com will see a game that earns a four out of five as only an 80%, when it's clear that PLENTY of games earning such a score on G4 are actually excellent in the eyes of their respective reviewers.

I realize that Sessler has also essentially called numerical ratings an evil we must live with. Hell, I like ratings as well. I also like to read. I read the reviews and use the words, not just the numbers, to help me decide with what games to spend my precious time. It may not appeal to the USA Today crowd, but considering all the grief that losing a single star on Bioshock 2 can cause reviewers, dropping the stars altogether may be the way to go. We'd all be better off for reading a few paragraphs.

Hey Feedback team, what do you think of the Illusive Man and his smoking in Mass Effect 2? How much money did Phillip Morris pay EA to have all that smoking? Does money for that finance a quicker Mass Effect 3 release? How is all that smoking in a video game "okay"?

In fallout 2 you learn that super mutants are sterile but since they are humans that have been infected with FEV they would probably still have genitals.

I liked how in fallout 1 and 2 you could get an instant kill on deathclaws if you got a critical in their eyes.

The Witcher does grey area better than any game I've ever played. There are just choices and consequences. I found it very refreshing and really don't understand why more games aren't doing this.

Adam, Super Mutants have genitals, for the same reason you have nipples.

I did not really like the first fallout, at first i liked the story then i lost interest after a part (don't want to spoil anyone) and when you're not in vats the shooting was just not fun for me at all it was just weak annoying and frustrating to me. and finally the main part is i just didn't like being in the fallout world too much a lot of the places just seemed like the same thing and overall it was just too depressing for my taste, but hearing from you guys that new vegas is actually going to be not dark and depressing then im all in and stoked to play this game.

Bioshock 2 i had no problem with the review i never got too far into the first one though i really liked the story and this ones story from what i have heard isn't as good and that was my favorite part in the first so i can totally understand it getting a 4.

Mass effect 2 i still haven't played, i actually just sold my first one for 20 bucks just because i went back to play it and all it did was frustrate the hell out of me. but most of the problems i had with the first one i hear got fixed or taken out of the game all together so im looking forward to playing part 2 when i get my gamefly back i will be adding it to the top of my que.

WARNING TL;DR IMMINENT I'm no fanboy at all but i'm not sure i quite understand the appeal of Heavy rain. If i want a life simulator i have, well, life. The reason i play games is for that sense of escapism you get - for example I love Mass effect because you can't travel the galaxy in real life. Heavy rain is a giant interactive cutscene and everyone seems to be raving about it. i don't play sports games for just the same reason. Please, feedback, tell me why i should get HR. While you're at it, please make sure Adam never uses the word "whimsy" ever again. tell him to read Terry Pratchett or Douglas Adams and to stop procaliming the infinite virtues of Peter Molyneux. I hate that guy. I'm English. I'm out.

I like the multiplayer in Bioschock 2. I find it to be well implemented, it runs really smoothly even with a ton of crap going on. I find it to be a nice alternative to other MP games like MW 2. I mean there is only so much MW that I can play without getting a little burned lol.
