I'm inclined to agree with a myriad of things mentioned in the review: while the gameplay is solid and the experience is overall very satisfying, the plot that is supposed to drive the action and make me want to go from objective to objective isn't nearly as intense and superbly executed as its predecessor's storyline. BioShock 2's storyline isn't bad by any means, but considering the suspense-filled, intriguing story the first one had, what with all its unexpected plot twists and sense of helplessness, the story of BioShock 2 is considerably lackluster in comparison. All the same, it didn't deter me from finishing the game, and it didn't take away from the experience enough to make it a bad game, destined to be diluted down to one-line jokes and t-shirts laden with nerd humor. While I enjoyed BioShock 2 as a good distraction (hell, I liked multi-player's plot more than the single-player campaign) it doesn't come anywhere near that of the first one.

I'm a good ways in, so I'm going to have to respectfully disagree with the score. As far as I can tell, Bioshock 1's story is the only thing better than Bioshock 2. When I'm at work, I'm thinking about Bioshock 2. I love this game. I give it a 5/5.
P.S. Multiplayer is a decent distraction when you've died (I play on hard without vita-chambers).

i personaly would give it a five, i mean the story wasnt that good compare to the original bioshock but its amazing compare to any other game in existance. Plus the multiplayer is gr8!

I happen to think the story is good so far...I've gotten past the Atlantic Expressway, and I'm awaiting the collecting more narratives/seeing more of the story. I admit, it doesn't have that OH, AWE as the first with regards to your initial introduction to Rapture...but so far it's pretty awesome.

Not so much "Hell yeah!"... moreso "Eh, I guess it's plausible."

Not so much "Hell yeah" as in "Eh, I guess it's plausible"
