Aliens vs. Predator Demo Direct-Feed Gameplay
Hunter. Survivor. Prey. Yeah, it's all very interchangeable in Sega's Aliens vs. Predator Demo!

I gotta say, this is on my purchase list when it comes out. I found myself stuck on Marine, mostly because Aliens is an all-time favorite movie of mine, with Predator right up there. I thought the species were balanced, I always was checking everywhere where that blip on my motion tracker was telling me to. I picked off quite a few aliens that way. The predators would always come from behind and get me though, especially when I was engaged with other players. Came away impressed with it. That you US government for giving some cash to spend on this.

Fun but could be a lot better. I found the aliens like to go over every little corner when running over things which is annoying and there was no real pounce attack like there was in AVP2. The pred was pretty well done I have no real complaints except for all the weapons feel like nothing, there is no weight to anything in the game. The humans were alright i like the sounds and how they are set up.

There is a way to stop an instant kill, it happened to me.

i have played one mach with each species and i played first with the marines and i played as them at like three in the morning witch is the way i recomend playing it added to the awesomeness being all late at night and having the aliens coming at you from one direction and the predetor from another. then i played with what was my favorite the predator who was just a all around bad ass.I grew up loving the predator movies. I played as the aliens last they were a little disorientating at first but mostly badass mostly.

I'm really pumped for this in a way. I mean just listen to the sound! It's all from the original movies. It really feels like a true Alien and Predator game

Had high hopes, but deleted it after 5 minutes. Maybe I'll give it another shot down the road when it's in the $20 used bin. Not saying it's a bad game, but for me if I don't have a good first impression then it's not something I'm buying brand new for $60.

The multiplayer on such a confined map is kind of "bleh" but on an open map, it could be more horror than action/suspense repeat. I am even more interested in the single player campaign, seeing that the multiplayer still looks and responds nicely, and is usually toned down from the single palyer experience. BUYIN IT!

i found a couple of things i dont like.
    1. aliens ALWAYS walk on walls....dont like that
2.aliens dont regain health from eatin bodys....that was fun
3.the attack bttons(360) are on the bumpers.

anyways....this is a buy...im going to duluth (i live in ontario) just to buy the hunters edition.

I think it's a lot of fun. I wish there was more than 1 map in the demo though.

I played the demo on 360 for about 6 hours yesterday in total. I found that I couldn't put it down. The Marine's are alot stronger then i thought they would be, easily got between 15-20 kills each match with a Marine. The Alien's at first where hard to control but once you get it down you can easily get stealth kills and use hit and run tactics on most players. Playing as the Predator was a blast, hiding in the shadows and executing an unexpecting player is so much fun. Not to mention once you find the shoulder cannon you can blast your foes from a distance and then run in and finish them off. Most of the people I played with loved this demo, the one's that didn't like usually sucked pretty badly. Sure I would have prefered TDM to FFA, but had a blast anyway. Day one purchase for me, cannot wait.

So everyone can can be all mad at me for being honest but........it wasn't fun. I would not pay 60 dollars for this game. It's a good idea with poor execution. Nothing really captivating about the play at all. And the whole package seemed....well the only word I can use to describe it is....Plain. Dreadfully plain and below average. Save your cash.

All in all I thought it was a pretty solid effort for an MP demo...maybe not as smooth as the Halo 3 Beta, but good.

I'm interested to see what the other maps look like...the one offered got pretty old pretty fast with most of the combat occurring on the ramps in the big open gallery.

My biggest complaint is the User Interface! Maybe it's my old school 32" CRT, but the most frustrating thing was how tiny and invisible the Marine's reticle is. Also, the motion tracker is almost completely illegible. Between the distance markers and the constant refreshing, you can't actually see any 'blips'.

Furthermore, the UI in the game setup screen is pretty ugly and again, tiny. I feel like your grandpa, complaining that the buttons on my remote aren't big enough, but it's true. There's plenty of real estate on screen, feel free to use it! I'm somewhat shocked that they put out this demo with such shoddy effort in UI. The player is ALWAYS looking at the reticle, the motion tracker, new players joining the game...why isn't it legible?

One last gripe: the alien is great fun, but it feels hugely underpowered in close quarters combat. If you don't get the drop on a target you're done for. Going toe to toe with a Predator is suicide, and even a Marine can knock you down and blow your head off. The heavy attack tail whip takes FOREVER to deploy and, again, the reticle is hard to line up with a target.

Overall, pleasantly surprised with how fun it was...looking forward to more maps, more characters, and way more polish, and more time to learn the controls.

i reminded me of Riddick: DA, plus not a big fan of ffa. I think team death matches would be cool since that every thing was a little less chaotic.
