WallE at the beginning, Helghast at the end
Can't wait for this to come out. I loved Fallout 3, and expect nothing but a great game from Fallout New Vegas. Just hope it can improve on some of the lag issues that I've had while playing Fallout 3. Will be interesting to see on how Obsidian handles making this game. If I had to guess two things: 1. The character is an ex vault dweller. 2. He eventually meets the Brotherhood of Steel (The California flag. If you played Fallout 3, you'll know what I'm talking about).
oh crap the helghast!!!!!
I wonder with the setting being in Vegas will we see any famous landmarks in it but I dont think that they are that many besides the Hoover Dam, and some hotels. Guess we will have to wait and see.
@muscley_arms you obviously havent seen anything of RAGE the new ID game. Game takes place after a nuclear apocalypse (the beginning is actually pretty simmilar to the story of fallout 3), but MAN-OH-MAN is that game pretty. I diddnt say it had to be bright and cheerful, but it would be nice if the game was nice to look at rather than dull and boring, like Fallout3 was.@ravenhermit look up the word 'hyperbole' seriously do it, until then you don't know what youre talking about.@osubluejacket I agree that the story was fantastic, it was, as was the art direction, but just the way people talked (jaws moving streight up and down, mechanical facial expressions, etc.) and the way people move (again, robotic movements that felt neither human nor realistic in anyway, in fact the robots were the only character's that had realistic movements). So yeah the game itself was good, the graphics however were a lazy attempt to lower their costs.
I know some of the people will not agree with me but I freaking cannot stand Obsidian. KOTOR 2 is one of the biggest disappointments of my entire gaming career. There was a bug that prevented me from completing the game. I tried 4 different times to play that games, only to keep failing due to an NPC that refused to ever spawn.
I just want one time where the teaser trailer ends with, "And guess what, we're already done with the game, IT COMES OUT TOMORROW!" But that's why I invested in a hibernation chamber, see you guys in Fall 2010.
Fallout in Vegas? Considering the city's history was nuclear bomb testing, this is damn perfect. Two great things together equals awesome. That said, I would give this trailer a Razzie as one of the worse in recent gaming. Compared to Bioshock 2's, MW2's, and several others, this trailer showed us nothing, gave us nothing. A distant shot of the strip at the last second after watching a robot pick up scoops of dirt (a step up from paint drying) just doesn't cut it. Then again, does it matter? We'll still buy the game.
i just hope this is as good as Fallout 3.
I'm skeptical about Fallout: New Vegas because of the way Obsidian handled Neverwinter Nights 2 and KotOR 2. Really buggy, obviously rushed, not as good as the Bioware originals. Surprising given that most of Obsidian is made up of former Black Isle Studios members. I hope it'll be different this time, but really I'm just expecting pretty much a barely completed watered-down version of Fallout 3.
The city is probably lit up because the nearby Hoover Dam (Which supplies the power to Las Vegas), has somehow been kept operational. I suspected they would go this route ever since I heard it announced, it should make for a much better game. When you think about it, there is something bizarre about those lights and how they still shine as bright as ever. A sinister homage to a world that once was.
reminds me of WALL-E
Was that Wall-E 1.0 at the beginning?
cant wait. love fallout.
Definiately Ron Pearlman's voice. I'm looking forward to it. I loved Fallout 3, but I won't mind something completely different.
Fallout in Vegas. Super Mutants on the strip. Will they recreate the Bunny Ranch with Ghouls? Will there still be a world series of poker? It should be interesting to see how Oblivion does with this. They did a decent job with the KOTOR follow-up, but it was clear that it wasn't bioware. Will it be just as clear that Bethesda had no hand in this? Do you think there is a register cha-ching that follows Ron Pearlman everytime he says the word "War"?
wow i am soooo ready for this game and by the time this comes out ill prolly be getting mass effect 2 so hopefully i get mass effects before this (i got a lot of stuff that needs to be paid, college blows haha)the only thing left for me to decide is do i want to play it on the PC (i bought dragon age for PC and im loving it there) or do i wanna buy it for PS3 again. Im thinking that because this has so much action in it (and ill be getting mass effect 2 for PC) that ill get it for PS3 to take a break from my PC, but we'll see when it comescant wait!!
Interesting teaser, as Fallen has pointed out they figure has the flag of California behind him, maybe a link to the original 2 Fallouts based in California? The character is wearing a Pip-Boy on his wrist so maybe a vault dweller? What do people think to how he is dressed, Enclave or not?
It would be super awesome if it didn't freeze every two seconds. I don't know how many times I have had to restart my machine because of FO3. More times than Socom, that's saying something.
Anyone notice that flag behind the Enclave Soldier was the California State flag? Interesting.....
