I didn't like it myself, but i didn't like any of the others either. The only real problem I have with them and always have is the vehicles. I can't stand vehicles in multiplayer myself, as soon as the game starts everybody tries to get them cuz it requires no skill at all to get a kill in my opinion. Different strokes for different folks tho.

def. gonna buy this day 1, way better than the first one and better then arcade of duty, you cant win with out your team and there is something about running around as a sniper no scoping people or knifing people when they spawn on one of their teammates and then knifing their teammate . HaF, see us on live.

    from the demo...

Sound- possibly the best sound you can expect...you feel your there....on the battlefield.bullets whizzing past you rpgs blowing up everywhere. team mates shouting for help (although that could be friends on xbox live.

Animation- exceptional, run cycles are clean as are most of the animation. theyve even thrown in some kill animations instead of the usual rag doll BF usually uses.

Gameplay-........if you like your battlefield...then you will love this ITS deeper with the upgrades and specialisations and as for the actual killing of folk....nothing is more awesome than a knife kill. yes its slower than cod. but you can feel the force behind each knife thrust.

Dynamics- my only problem with the game is that not all the buildings can be levelled only those with the objectives. (also destroying all the walls of a building with the objective will destroy it without having to plant the bomb)

Vehicles- each has a strength and a weakness but all are devastating.

Overall- Battlefield 2 without fighter jets and a complete overhaul with few if any problems.

alot of folk have been bashing the demo because "it takes a shed load of bullets to kill someone" ever heard of body armor? this game is genius simply genius.

I was in the PS3 beta and I am currently in the PC beta and this game is fantastic. The inclusion of vehicles and 32 player on PC makes this more than your average shooter.

I gotta say, the controls in BF2 seem to have a pretty big dead zone (a lot like KZ2 when it was first released). This is really annoying to me, because I really play on twitch reflex a lot (I have slight of hand on most of my classes), and BF2 felt unresponsive, even with the sensitivity pretty high. The entire thing seems weightier than MW2.

I also don't really like vehicle controls, they feel sluggish, and turning is bad. Combine that with the fact that the tanks are made out of paper mache (some guy killed me out of one with an assault rifle), it really makes many of the vehicles not worth using.

There were some elements that I enjoyed, like bullet drop on the sniper rifle, but the fact that in every game I joined, 80% of the players were using snipers, kind of made it boring (not the game's fault, just the community).

All in all, the game is decent, but it wasn't a revelation, and seeing as how I already have a decent war game (MW2), I think I'll abstain from buying BF2, and instead wait for some of the other highly expected games to come out, like God of War 3, Bioshock 2 and Heavy Rain (not to mention I still haven't picked up Mass Effect 2).

PS. Also, BF2 doesn't hold a candle to MAG.

Why buy this for $60 when U can get Battlefield 1943 for $15?

*that's the same reason why I won't pay full price for MAG*

This game is great! Way better than MW2, MW2 doesn't come close to BC2. This game makes you feel like your in an actual battle. MW2 makes you feel like an idiot becuz all you do is run around on a small map doing the same thing over and over again. BC2 will be a great game, one of my favs.

This looks better than MW2 in my opinion. But, I'm not much of a shooter / multiplayer online fan. But again, it's essentially the same concept aside from the fact that things are a bit more destructible.

HUGE HUGE HUGE HUGE HUGE dissapointment!

    1. the left trigger aim down sight locks for some reason
    2. it lags
    3. the clips are small
    4. it does reward you like modern warfare 2 for a kill, the numbers are to small and they don't hightlight who killed you
    5. kill cams are lame
    6. 5 sec. respawn!!!!!!!! WHAT!!!!!

Other than Borderlands, Battlefield has always been one of the only games I can really kick my friends' butts in. I really like the look and feel of the entire game, and the destruction as well as the vehicles, in-game class customization, and combat roles make it very dynamic. The changes they made to progression, weapons and unlocks, and the HUD are excellent, and I'm really looking forward to this in March.

I don't know what system to get this for??? My PS3 or my PC, The only reason that I want this for my PC over my PS3 is that I loved BF2 so much! Plus I find games of this type to be much more fun on the PC, I know my PC can handle the graphics of this game, considering it can run Mass Effect 2 on all high settings, but mostly I like shooters better with a mouse and keyboard, Can anyone convince me to get this on the consule over the PC?

Thank God this game is great because frankly, people were gonna go crazy if they didn't find a game to replace mw2. This game is a buy for me. God! I am gonna waste money on games this year after just buying last years games. I won't buy Bioshock 2 yet(just bought bioshock 1). I will buy Heavy rain, god of war 3 and MAG.

This game gives you that feeling of ACTUALLY being in a battle, and no other game on the 360 can do that. Even Modern Warfare's Multiplayer doesn't make me feel like I am in a real battle.

Being inside a building, surrounded by the other team while they start shredding the walls into swiss cheese and having about 4 seconds to make your escape while the building is collapsing around you is simply exhilarating. I love this game.

Played PS3 Beta/ Xbox 360 Demo. I've been a fan of DICE and Battlefield since BF 1942. I was a skeptic when they moved on from Battlefield 2 & 2142 to BF:BC. But seeing the progress they've made with destructible environments and a better upgrade system to weapons, the game feels satisfying when you shoot off a gun or drive a tank. The helicopter feels insanely fast, wish I had better maneuverability with it. The UAV Chopper makes more sense, compared to the "way too accurate" helicopter of COD4:MW. The maps themselves are well designed, it makes sniping way more fun when the victim is a distance away; scared out of their minds figuring where the fire is coming from. Also, the size of the map makes driving vehicles moderately essential. It can put a certain amount of pressure but not enough where the game becomes unbalanced. The shooting mechanics are great; my favorite part has to be when sniping you have to calculate for the lob and distance the bullet must travel, which means you'll have to aim a little more than above their head to make contact. Not to mention the satisfaction of murdering someone with the repair drill or zapping someone to death with your defibrillators, I mean who doesn't think that's not funny? Guess I have just have sadistic humor. Destructible environments, enough said. During the beta & demo, smoke seems more useful when things explode or catch on fire, visibility-wise. I can see a smoke grenade being immensely useful this time around. Another quality that I'm really enjoying about BF:BC2 is the squad based gameplay, ammo, medics, motion sensors, and repairmen; When in an actual squad that talks to each other and not just kids screaming the game can get coordinated and very fun. Things that I'm not fond of in BF:BC2 is the knife melee, I guess its because I'm a Wolverine fan and like my blades to slash though anything, and I do mean anything. Though I do like that you get your victims dog tags for stabbing them. Its practically BF:BC2's alternative to teabagging. Also, I hate it when I'm using the trees as cover during sniping and somehow the branches and leaves have invisible walls so bullets don't permeate; so then I have to proceed to just tear down the tree. Other than those miniscule complaints, I love BF:BC2 and I'm just playing the demo. I may actually play this demo with friends till the game comes out in March than get back to an actual full game like Halo or MW2. Its just a shame that the game might sell less than if it were not in the same month as Juggernauts like God of War III and Final Fantasy XIII. Sure, FPS fans might pick it up but more casual people might have picked it up too if it weren't in the same month as those two games.

despite all its quirks, i personally love battlefield more then modern warfare 2. i think it captures the scope of battle much better then call of duty, which to me still feels like 8 people fighting 8 other people and not actually a war skirmish. yeah its a bit laggy but im willing to work with it because i find the experience very entertaining. i imagine i would feel the same way about MAG if i had a PS3. The one thing that i am unhappy with in the new demo is that the destructible environments haven't improved. i was hoping for 100% destructibility and not just down to the framework. Also i really wanted to see a physics engine implemented that would make it so the wall chunks reacted in a real way instead of disappearing, and if you took out a section at the bottom of a tower, it would collapse, But i realize that that is a bit too much to ask for.
