open ended games that aren't of the gta fashion can be overwhelming to the average gamer taking a chance on a big title. Though when they are linear and the game points you in a direction it can be funner and easier to handle. Multiple paths and decisions can frustrate even the most veteran of gamers.
When we're told that Feedback has moved to Wednesday, does that mean we can SEE Feedback on Wednesdays? What time on Wednesday? It's 6pm on the east coast and there's no new Feedback. Should I be waiting until midnight or what? This happened last week as well.

Do you think that your show feedback, and its father show, x-play, have an influence on the culture here in the United States? As the son of Americans living overseas, I have seen how kids can use video games to do good(spend time with each other, compete) and bad(seperating themselves from their community, family, etc.) That said, whatever the technology or advancement, I think there will always be a cost on the people, so I don't think it is fair to say that video games our ruining our youth anymore than cars, movies, etc. However, what are your thoughts on this issue, and what kind of impacts on our culture, good or bad, do you think video games, and the shows you all work so hard to put together, will have in the long run?Love, Kyle Katarn

Following having read Adam's review of Mass Effect 2 i have noticed a growing trend in third person titles to use in game "real-time powers". This is evident in some titles as Protytpe (which i know we would all like to keep behind us), Assasins Creed 2 with weapon loadouts and now in Mass Effect 2 with special attacks. How do you feel about this growing trend and do you think it helps or hinders games. However i do understand while some games may do better with this system there a re many that can do better without.
I don't see why everyone has such a hard time understanding why the Wii is doing so well. Here is the trend that I am seeing in my little world. I am almost 30 and I still only own my old PS2. Out of the the six families of my siblings only one has a Wii. However; My parents, In-laws, and even grandparents all own Wiis. My mother even owns a DS. And any time we visit any of their houses we all play Wii bowling and have a great time.As far as I can see, the expination is simple. 1) Nintendo has made a system that has become as common as VCRs were in the '80s (even if they are rarely used). AND 2) Nintendo has captured a non-gamer market.Could it be that our beloved G4 (and yes, we do love you guys) can't understand the success of the Wii because they don't understand the casual gamer? Or do they DISLIKE the Wii (sometimes you do send out that vibe) because it doesn't have many games that are targeted to the hard-core gamers?
Hi, huge fan of Feedback, but I have a question about morality in games. With the 2000's over I was being reflective of the last decade and noticed that one of my favorite innovations of that decade is the idea of choice in the form of morality. When I think of my favorite games: Mass Effect, Fable I & II, Jade Empire and KOTOR, I notice that they all have a morality system. I also noticed that despite having a ever changing story they all boiled down to 2 or 3 endings. I always wondered why if morality is so grey and muddled why there were only a few endings. With Mass Effect 2 coming out this week, and Bioware saying there are more tan a few endings, I hope this will change Even games that don't need it like Army of Two: The 40th Day have a morality system. What I'm trying to ask is if you think that morality is the new gimmick in games or do you think it is a new feature that could change games in the long run? Just wondering your take on this issue.

Also if Shepard can die in ME2 if I make a grave mistake and he will not return in ME3 then who will I play in ME3? The entire concept has me intrigued and wanting to intentionally screw up and kill him.
I hope this is the proper way to submit a question. Whether it gets on the show matters not but I do want discussion.I love Mass Effect. I am excited about ME2 and all the new intricate choices one can make. However, I recently began playing through ME 1 in order to create a separate profile so I have one renagede and one paragon to carry over to ME2. Then it hit me. Too many variables might be a hinderance. If my choices in ME1 affect story, character etcetera in ME2 and ME2 consequently does the same for ME3 then does that also mean that choices in ME1 affect ME3?Do you think that the Mass Effects greatest strength will turn out to be a weakness or frustration? Also do you know if it will be that minute of choices?If thats the case then the result one desires at the end of ME3 will have to be thought out and planned 150-200 hours before hand.I personally would rather have ME3 be only affected by ME2. I love choices but hopefully most likely I am making this more of an issue than it really is.
The Wii is doing well because belive it or not its a good system.
I have owned most game consoles. Right now i own ps3 and wii, and honestly outside of uncharted 2 i play my wii more (FPS) and i honestly feel that the the only thing ps3 and 360 did was add hd. All the games released for either console plays just like their counterparts from ps2 and xbox days just with hd. It amazes me that no one talks about this. For example god of war 2 had beautiful graphics on ps2 so what is GOW 3 bringing differently to the table outside of hd that couldnt of been done on ps2? Atleast wii tried to do something innovative outside of uppin the graphics each year. Ultra realistic graphics was awsome to look at when first introduced but now that there common place it no longer moves me. Kinda like when i first played my ps2 when it came out and i was spell bound by the graphics in comparison to my ps1 but after that became the norm all i wanted was a fun game to play and wasnt concerned about graphics all that much.
I am glad to say i don't own a crap Wii >:)
I have a xbox360 and a ps3 i did have a wii a long time ago out of the 3 the 360 is my fav but all of them are awsome!!! fanboys be damned
YES! I completely agree with all of the points brought up about linearity and its place in games. Developers should balance linearity and exploration to offer multiple dimensions to a story told through games. Especially games like Assassin's Creed 2 and Fable 2 offer a lot in the way of side quests and missions servicing the overall plot by giving you extra information and an experience that really adds extra depth to the plot and to the gameplay itself. Simply put, there is a special place for linearity and for exploration, but game developers should strive to make the two service each other to give a much deeper experience.
