Are people really going to buy Project Natal and the Sony motion control? I feel like they are more of gimmick for parents. I plead ignorance when it comes to Natal, but I get the basic concept. I play games to relax, but I don t see myself standing in front of my TV waving my arms around. Sure it s a cool advancement, but I m just not excited about it. I have the same feeling towards these projects as I do towards 3D TVs; a lot of hype, for nothing special.

About the linearity, the only reason some people think it is bad is because it takes some play time away from a game. For example, Army of 2, that game is obivously classified as a linear game, and it was super short. I just don't feel comfortable buying $60 game that only gives me about 10 to 12 hours of gameplay, when I could buy a game for the same price and it gives me 30+ hours of gameplay. Personally, I find myself playing a sandbox game in a very linear fashion because most of the time I'm just trying to get through the game. Once I finish the game, then I can go back and play all the side missions and stuff if I feel like it. In a linear game, I don't have the choice of "wondering off the path" and finding more gameplay, you only can play what the developpers gave you. So, once you finish the main story you're done and I find myself sitting there saying, "Well now what." Once they find a way to make an interesting, long, linear story that keeps throwing new stuff at you (Like DLC)I will be happy to throw $60 bucks at the developpers.

Should a linear-by-nature game be punished for its linearity?

    Yes.

this is easy Adam, you see myself like most people buy Wii's because theri a novelty. As soon as you buy a Wii u realize its fun for about 10 minutes unless ur a kid or a housewife that uses it for the Wii fit. However i will buy another one if the US ever gets the black Wii since i gave my stupid white Wii away to a 2 year old

I own all 3 consoles and I personally like my Xbox 360 the most, while microsoft has raised the bar with its console being out first and points and live, bringing it back to the point competition fuels the gaming industry, and we can see everybody jumping on the band wagon and its great but the problem I have is as gamers we all want every great game and hate being denied things that being said its expenive,I have spent a lot of money on consoles but what I like about the wii(although its not much) its the fact that it forces other companies to raise the bar and everybodies in competition and we see all this great stuff but we cant have it all, now the only way to stop this is if the companies merged and we had one console it would be great I wouldnt have to pay all that money, and apple has been setting the bar for cheap games and we know companies can afford this its also why the game industry is bigger than the music industry and its because its soo cheap to make but you can sell it for so much im still wondering how coe survived and its because of all these high prices, I think lowering the prices would make software development much more competetive (which means only good games) and we would have a lot more as gamers and could spend it on other games whos companies can stay afloat from cheap games, and its the ways the industry should move for the good of the consumer and the industry. With the wii we could see another video game crash like the one in the 80's where there are so many bad games that it over inflates and dies, and with the new microtransaction buisness model i dont understand why we dont pay so much because halo and call of duty and starcraft could even out the industry with cheap prices and high gain , even though it sounds like moneys coming out of nowhere but it would show that hardwork makes hard money and with it we can support our favourite games to see more. We are on a balance my fellow gamers between us the industry and the people who lead said industry and for the good of us all prices should be lowered.

Another informative cast as always. Ps3 gaining ground huh? (note I am not fond of sony by the way, something about the ps2 rubbed me the wrong way and the ps3's origanal price tag made me laugh uncontrolably.) I have a Wii but dont really play it, which leads to the question why? The only thing i can think of is Mario Kart which I never got my hands on anyway. . . ESPN coming to xbox? Well thats a nice feature for sports nuts I supose, though not something I will use (not a sports nut).

Looking forward Mass Effect 2! I hope they fixed some the 2 things that really bothered me in the first one.

    1. being the combat system or to be more specific the moving in and out of cover. There was so many times that I didnt intend to go into cover in that game, but was forced to because i got to cose to a wall of some sort. there there was the fun of trying to get out of it. . . .

    2. Being that the choices they give you in the coversations actualy lead to shepard saying something different. there was many a time when they gave you different options to chose and regardless of which you picked shepard said the same thing for either choice in the first one. which leads me to ask, then why bother giving choices if both lead to the same thing?

If these two things have been improved upon, then I think it will make it much better then the first one.

Rambling is a bad habbit of mine so forgive me in advaced, look forward to next weeks cast! Chubz out. . . .

OMG MASS EFFECT 2 IN FIVE DAYS!
As for the console war PC wins! If you think about it, video games started from PC, though it's a little unfair calling PC one console.

Is kinda disappointing in the fact that Adam said that Heavy Rain was a a "smaller title". I know that the fanbase for this kinda game is not huge, but this game could change the way we see cut scenes and interaction on games. Every time I see this game in action It makes me think about H. Kojima MSG games and how awesome choice decision in those cut scenes would had enhance my experience with it further with consequences (although MSG 1 had 2 endings). Multliple endings doesn't have to be a standard in games this day but have more consideration on moralty consequence it wouldn't hurt a game depending on the story, just like Infamous and Army of Two the 40th Day did with morality. But Adam can't denied the fact that Heavy Rain even though He could called it "small" , this one would be a very intelligent portrayed P.I. with a deep storyline and a new way to look interactive storytelling on the future in a more bigger degree.

I could say I'm a David Cage fan since Indigo Prophesy, and I understand his view on his games. I'm looking forward for this game first day regardless of reviews because even I love the Uncharteds an Call of Duties of the world, I like my plot filled slow paced games.
