I really dont care that this is a GoW rip. The cover system in quantum looks a lot more smooth and not blocky like gears. Hopefully this game will come with some good multiplayer as well because i havent been able to get a lag free match of gears in a looooong time.

Im tired of freaking noobs comparing this game to Gears of trash oops i mean gears of war,lol first off if there is a game that looks like this is UnrealTournement 3 kids if u play UT3 on ps3 with mods it looks even more like it. He looks like Reaper not marcus how blind can u be? and to end it gears of war multiplayer is horrible no balance only host power and lagg wow who wants to play that? only 15 year old noobs i owned and i dont touch that game with a ten foot pole' lol peace let this game breath is not like ur dating cliff kids.

i cant seem to get excited about a game comming out on another console that is the EXACT same game as xbox360. Gears defined a whole new genre of game play with parts that were spectacular (IE. Headshot = HEAD SPLODED, and the almost too infamous, jumping into a pile of your own team-mates while stuck with a torque bow) with great story telling. i mean come on everyone was focused on aliens from distant galaxy's (*COUGH* HALO *COUGH* Not to say it didnt KICK AZZ!!!). then comes gears. saying were not fighting things from space... but things we made that haunted us for years. Then here comes quantum theory. taking the ALMOST if not EXACT same storyline, pilar comes out of ground , ensuing monsters from said pilar begin death march on humanity, two bad A** good guys (MARCUS/DOM sound the same?) rush in to save the day. except dom is replaced by a chick with a sword......... WOW JAPANESE have a weird fetish with swords!!! idk just sounds the same i guess... wont be renting or buying this one... COPY/PASTE just doesnt work for me! FF7 FOR LIFE!

i could care less if quantum theory is a gears of war ripoff. as long as it is as tight as the first gears they could of named it war of gears and i'd of been interested in it. the ps3 needs a gears type of game.my worry is KOEI doing this game ,frame rate and adjustable camera n controls.quantum theory has my attention ,but will KOEI keep it.

not only does it look like GoW, but i see some fallout 3 as well (slow-motion headshots). i think i might get excited about this one, but ill wait till i see more.

Graphics look like an overall meh. But gameplay actually looks really solid. I'll maybe rent this.

Ive been waiting for this game for a long time though another trailer Ive seen in the past the Graphics are alot better :S

may sorta look like it has bad graphics but everything about it so far looks better then gears...like the movement is way faster and smoother than gears and it just looks really good to me...they just need to update the graphics and i think it could surpass gears in the future if theres a sequal to this one....

If there is a god they will cancel this game. I love the PS3 but man does this just give all developers all bad name. Not only is it a complete Gears rip-off but its a horrible Gears rip-off that is made for the PS2.
I think I will stick with Uncharted 2....

Well, seeing as GOW's Cliffy is trying to push Gears towards a more slow-paced TPS, which in my opinion is the worst thing for gears, this game however may surpass GOW in enjoyment, seeing as they took GOW1 and instead made it a fast-paced TPS.

personally i think the gears 2 campaign was really badly paced, cheesy, and overall less enjoyable than the first. not to say that i expect this to make up for it but who knows. all i can say is nice graphics and the moving level too

Doesn't look too bad. At least the enemies look a little more varied. There were too many of the same enemies in Gears.
Is this game still in early development though? The polygons and textures look shockingly low-res for a current generation game, and the areas so far look really... "blah," specially in the blue portions of the trailer. It's difficult to tell where the floors end and the walls begin; it all looks the same.

What im about to say is nothing against the japanese people, just they're style of video games. That Being said, this type of game has no use in the hands of japanese people to develop. I mean, seriously what would you be throwing around some chick with a big blue sword around? THey ALWAYYSS have to slip in a giant sword and cooky clothing somewhere in they're video games....
