Square Enix shows off more story bits, character relationships and pop songs that increase with volume over time in the latest trailer for Final Fantasy XIII.

I sincerely hope this game doesn't become one of those games that has a main character who has little impact on the story, and instead focuses solely on someone else. That seems to be the vibe I get from the trailer... wait... maybe I do want that... Damn you Square-Enix and your enthralling stories!

of final fantasy how i love you and hate you. ok im a huge fan of anime and this has broken a taboo in anime and games for that matter, redoing the opening song. its just horrible when it happens. examples are One Piece when fox had it, or any anime on fox for that matter. second is it just me or does this game look like a clone of ff7s story, and finally Lightning and Snow, well you know your running out of names when you use names that are also natural occurrences in nature. but i still hope the wait will be worth it

I wish they weren't making a 360 version. The game would have been released by now for the PS3, but that's the modern Squre-Enix for you... money over the fans. True fans would have bought the PS3 on release for this when originally announced. Bet dollars to doughnuts that the 360 version is gonna have split video images in cutscenes and frame rate issues. Being the franchise sucker I am, I'll buy both versions but I'll play the PS3 version... mainly for the Japanese audio to avoid the english theme song.

Got this reserved yesterday. Trailer looks great, Square Enix made a good choice with Leona Lewis for the song of this game.

FREAKIN AWESOMENESS!!!

At first I didn't think the Leona Lewis song would work as good as the japnese version's main theme, but give it some time... ye I could see how this would flow. Really glad this is coming to xbox 360, hopefully future FF games will also be available on all consoles. And yes it pisses me off that FFXIII versus is PS3 exculsive. Hopefully after the success of this game, they would reconsider.

FFXIII FTW, 2010 looks like a good year

It looks amazing and sounds amazing and seems like this is the first since VII that might actually pull off VII again with the over-arching story of X... I have steered clear of input on this FF on purpose but now I just have to have it, it looks unbelievable! Like VII and X had a child, and that one white-haired guy even has a Sephiroth bend to him.

I haven't played one of these since FFVII
and i think i might have to pick up this game up as soon as possible.
but i want heavy rain too! and god of war III! STOP IT SONY STOP IT!

The game looks like the first FF in the series that's been heavily westernized, which I think is a nice change, but the dialog still sounds like it was written by interns at MTV. This might be the first FF game I play all the way through since FFIII on the SNES.

I've always admired and appreciated the graphics in every Final Fantasy game, they are just beautiful. But I don't know, is just the system alone that gets me off. I tried the game(s) a couple of times but I just couldn't get myself to like em at all. But if there's one thing I do respect is the animation, one of the best in the biz.

I guess is kind of like how people can't figure out in Resident Evil to do your thang, you know, stop and shoot instead of shtooting and moving. Of course is two different games and are utterly distinctive among each other but overall, it applies the same mechanism in some sense. Afterall, there are Japanese games so you could see the similarities.

Im here at work with tears in my eyes and im thinking two things:

Whoever cut that video needs some kinda nomination of some major award

and This game has the look and story that could rock the world.

Well it's obvious really, it says right there in the middle of the clip. When the protagonist dies, it's "all sugar and rainbows".
