Watching it with the sound off is appealing. Looks great, music choice is horrible.

This game is gonna be absolute insanity. If all the incredible trailers haven't convinced you yet to get this game, I don't know what will. I know FF games aren't for everyone but if you're on the fence, now is as good a time as any. Leona Lewis has an incredible voice. I'm not a huge fan of her myself but being an avid music listener, I can certainly commend her. The song fits great and I absolutely love how they've incorporated western culture into this game. It always feels more relevant when foreign developers do that.

Are we sure this is Final Fantasy? Where are the 50 foot swords and excessively gelled hair?

Excellent trailer though. Always have loved Final Fantasy games, and will buy this right away for sure. Looks to be excellent.

@UltimaBlackMage: Simply going by the Final Fantasy tradition of excellence in cut scenes, if there is one place where graphics will be perfect, regardless of system, it will be in the cut scenes. Though I could see the battles possibly causing frame rate issues in some of the more complex scenes, but then again, it is a major fanservice game, so maybe the guys at Square Enix will actually consider the people like me, who have been loyal to their Playstation Final Fantasy games, but simply preferred the 360 for the price point (until recently). Not everybody out there is willing to go buy at least $300 worth of new equipment for one game.

I'm sticking by MY initial opinion that I don't like this theme song. The Japanese one just "fits" better, not that I understand it. I know there are people that like it but I would imagine that if they remixed it it would of been played so this is most likely what to expect when we get the game March 9th. Atleast it won't be playing it constantly through the game.

i didn't care about ffXIII... until now, the voice acting actually seemed good and the scenes they showed had emotion, not the usual awkwardness the series seems to be notorious for.

This game is gonna be absolute ridiculousness! I can't wait to see this artful masterpiece come to life on my PS3. I know FF games aren't for everyone but I bet this one sells massively.

the trailer was actually good and the song made it more epic!

but I'm hearing a lot of bad things about this game...
most of it comes from the Japanese gamers.
    I'd still buy it though.

Leona Lewis is a world class singer and I love the fact that she's so humble. I can't wait for the game to come out.

But you don't have the Graphics reflecting any kind of damage being taken by all these hits.

The reason it stands out in a FF game is because it you expect a high attention to detail and completeness from them.

Sorry for the multiple posts but the policy editor obvious doesn't know what a cuss word is, and I'm thinking of quite a few right now.

hitting a Monster with a sword or gun for a certain amount of damage.

    You got these characters

Awesome!!! But I do have a slight criticism for the game play. It's a problem not in FF but all games now days.

What would be nice would be after a certain % of damage something like sword wounds, or bullets holes start appearing on the monsters so that it looks like they're taking damage instead of dropping dead in pure pristine condition.

The reason it stands out in the FF is because you expect a highly polished extremely detailed game. This would just add a sense of immersion into it.

Sorry but I am going to be just renting this one, the battle system is basically going back to FFX with just a few extra visuals thrown in. It is not at all what they made it look like in their first trailer. Deliver what you promised then I will buy. Hopefully FFXIII Versus makes up for this Final Fantasy.
