i didnt like it that much. there just wasnt that wow factor. yeah sure it has 256 players but thats worthless if the combat isnt good. Im gonna stick with MW2 and then Battlefield BC 2!

Not a bad game, a lot like Battlefield: Bad Co. Large maps, but a little less spread out and thats good and bad. I really wanna see some more levels.

    its a neat idea.
    very bfbc like.
but if sony thinks this game is going to be huge. or its going to draw a new crowd of fps fans to the ps3.
honestly this game isn't going to do it

I wasn't too impressed. I think it's more hype than a good FPS game! The only solid good thing is not a lot of lag when u play with a big group of people. Sony and whatever damn developer should delay this game for another 12 to 18 months to polish this game up better!

This game would be heaps better if people actually worked as a team! Noone helped me at all when i was down and injured.

The maps are huge which is good...but on the other hand is a campers dream....and with no kill cam (like in Cod etc) you have no idea where the sniper is picking you off from.

The guns sounded stupid. And the game lagged like a mother bitch. The beta sucked.....

Having finally played the beta for MAG, Im severely less hyped for it. When comparing it to the BC2 beta the only thing it even has going for it is the numbers. Unfortunately from what I saw when I played it didnt really seem like epically massive battles, just little 10v10 skirmishes here and there.

Maybe I just had a bad first impression, but having played the beta I no longer feel the need to get this game when it comes out.

I think MAG is awesome. It's a lot of fun and I personally find it better than CoD.

I prefer this game over MW2, because it actually feels like a war game/ squad based game. MW2 just feels like a action shooter for people who just want some quick action. MAG on the other hand really feels like a massive game (like the title says), were there are oil rigs blowing up, other squads trying to secure their own specific objectives (instead of 20 people going in one spot and dying over and over) etc.. I also like the fact that MAG adds a Squad, Platoon, and Officer In Charge and gives them special bonuses when you are near to them, and also how if players Valor, for example, play domination and beat the S.V.E.R and Raven squads constantly. They get flags (or contracts) that give anyone who picked the Valor PMC (while playing domination) a bonus effect like faster air strike reloads. So all in all I would say MAG is a better multi-player experience (for me of course) because of the scale of the objectives and how many things are going on at once.

Some of the HUD animations aren't too great. The knifing animation is horrible. But the other animations not in the HUD, like some of the walking and running, is at least better than some other games.

My experience probably wasn't that good because no one had a headset and/or just sucked at the game, and then because I lost every match I played. I remember, just to get to one of the objectives I had to go all by myself and take on the three snipers that were killing everyone on my team. Didn't help that they also had rocket launchers.

Yes. Snipers with sniper rifles and rocket launchers.

I did have fun killing people though. Just wish more people had headsets and that the controls were a bit better. Aiming still feels a bit weird.

MAG is alright. Nothing special. Didn't really like the amount of people playing considering the maps are huge. Too big for my liking. I don't see myself playing it beyond the beta.

looks like a lagging suck fest. Some guys looked stuck in corners while the player shot them down. Grenades and weapon effects sound weak and it looks boring. MW2 will kick this games butt even if it releses 2 years frm now.

I think that it's pretty good. It's a bit buggier than I thought it would be if the release date is 1/26. However, there is tons and tons of potential here. What I thought was funny was how you could feel people trying to do the tactical thing, but as soon as the bugs appeared, people resorted to the MW "free-for-all" mentality. One small bug that bothered me was that you couldn't do the training. So I spent the first few games (once I could actually get in to a game, another bug) trying to figure out what buttons did what because many of them were very different than MW.

Another thing that I was really surprised at when I played was what appeared to be an older crowd. And by older crowd I mean mentally. There weren't of kids (mental & chronological) screaming and yelling and hurling racial and sexual orientation epitaphs at people. How refreshing!!!

So if nothing else, that's a major win in my book. I think the overall plot, theme and structure of the game is sound. Once the actual game comes out, we'll have to see what happens, but I think Zipper Interactive has done a pretty good job. It will be very interesting to see what the finished product is and how the FPS crowd reacts to this new game.

looks alright haven't played the beta yet but just going by that video i have to ask . wheres the team work aspect they keep talking about . i know were just seeing it through the eyes of the one guy but still i kind of figured every one would be rolling in groups .

    Posted: January 8, 2010 5:16 PM

    I like it.
It's much more tactical than other shooters so it's less run and gun.
The game shines in the "big" missions but I even like the Sabotage missions you start on.
I also like the fact it has Little/No LAG. I don't see that in games like MW2 because of P2P hosting.
I just hope more developers see how well dedicated servers work and invest in running the actual game servers to cut down on lag.

    I would (only a Bata) give it a 7/10
Not the best game I've ever played but a welcome change.

Its lacking something special. 256 player is locked until level 10. The game play is done else where better. Maybe the final product will have some surprises, but I'm not holding my breath.

I enjoy the game quite a bit. Especially since it's a challenge to get your platoon to all work together instead of trying to solo everything like this is CoD or something. Not a fan of the LMG sniping...funny how they can do that and it's always a headshot
