To clear up the childs play issue. Ndoors has a random box mall each box contains around 18 items and cost 10 dollars to purchase. The odds are not 1/18 they are totally random and some feel not random at all. I have seen people drop upwards of 300-400 dollars and not receive the item, when complaints went to Ndoors they refused to give the item to the player even after paying for it 10 times over. This is a game not Vegas! also they refuse to list the odds of winning and I always thought gambling mandated you list odds.So for a free to play MMO it gets very pricey. The box they sprung on the players at the last moment ( the childs play box) contained over 30 items( if I got it wrong still doesn't make my point not valid, the odds increased dramatically) and cost 40 dollars 4 times the amt. Now I stated that winning is hard enough with 18 items in the box and they really don't care if you spend your college fund. Plus they were going to use that money as a tax write off to boost their bottom line. Ndoors also allegedly pulled another fast one with a car giveaway that took them 10 wks to locate the winner ( their contract for the contest stated 2 wks after end of contest winner would be announced) The winner who lived one town over and happened to be a beta tester also an asian man in an interview stated his real name but never his screen name so we never could contact him in game ( we are not accusing anyone of anything but the odds of a Californian winning, being the game is played in 50 states plus several other countries you have a better chance of being hit by lightning b4 the winner would be chosen from California. We also know it costs money to transport a car over state lines( Ndoors is located in California),but remeber stiIl I am not accusing anyone of any wrong doing I am just letting you figure the odds and circumstances.Ndoors also keeps blowing this new game play that never gets off the ground, kinda a wow based interactive playing. So Currently most of the high money players have left the game and mall sales are being forced by incorporating items like atlas ore that you need to do most basic functions. they have nerfed every form of in game earnings to force people to the item mall which is backfiring on them because it has led to a boycott of some sorts. So we didn't have a problem donating money to a good cause we just didn't want Ndoors to get the glory after abusing their client base time and time again. This might fly in Asia but good ole Americans won't put up with blatant abuse from any company.Their latest brainstorm is a new mercenary called a Druid to obtain the Druid and fully upgrade him costs around 10billion gold in game to obtain that kind of money you either have to break a rule and buy gold "or" go to the mall and start selling items, see where the forced sales come in again.I am not against a business making a profit but this has gone way past that adding insult to injury.

What I'm reading is that Donna Hawkins is actually the name of the spokeswoman for the District Attorneys office. The name of the woman charged is Lauri Pierce. Might wanna mea culpa that... I'm sure Donna wouldn't find it funny.

    Source: http://www.independent.co.uk/l ife-style/gadgets-and-tech/new s/jailed-texas-mum-lured-teen- on-world-of-warcraft-1860609.h tml

Quoting the article: "Lauri Price, 42, has been charged by prosecutors in Houston with two counts of online solicitation of a minor and one count of enticing a child with the intent to commit a felony.

Authorities say Price started having an online sexual relationship with the boy, then 15 years old, in September 2008 after meeting him on the internet video game World of Warcraft, said Donna Hawkins, a spokeswoman for the District Attorney's Office."

I have been pleased about the Star Trek Online MMO. However, it is too "simple" so far. There is no complex puzzles or moral problems to solve. Of course, I am still trying to move past the first few levels and work is keeping me too busy and then there is LOTRO....

The complaints to Child's Play were about nDoors, and how they run the game (rather poorly right now). Not the box or the items that were within the box.
