So happy about the mention of Red Dead Redemption. i have high hopes for that game and i really hope it gets more attention in the coming months. many of my gaming friends have no idea what it is and that makes me sad. i just think its something i honestly havent played before, and im always looking for games that can break up some of that monotony in the gaming industry. rockstar has never let me down...

As an Xbox owner, I would have to say Halo Reach (duh) and Bioshock 2. I am very interested in seeing what project Natal has to offer. I must admit, I am going to buy it. I want it. Now. Think of using actual body motions to Bip (also known as the B button, or as a melee) someone in Halo Reach. Or to actually THROW a grenade. If they get it right, it could totally rock. Games in the past couple years are starting to really become more state of the art, and the budgets are too. This will be an exciting year in gaming, but it seems like I have been saying that to myself ever since Nov. 2005. lol

How is Natal a thing not just aimed at Casual gamers, The thing is a bloody Gimmick it made me face palm, if Microsoft starts to focus mainly on that I can see my 360 start to gather dust like my Wii

Okay, we've got umpteen lists of what the best games we played were in the last year, the last decade, and the last lunar cycle. We're all giddy with excitement and wonder for the new year, and Adam's new favorite word for 2010 is apparently "resonate." Yes, fine, good, whatever. Are we done with the retrospectives and prognostications, now? Or is our year-o-meter flipping a dial still the biggest news?

    Get on with it!

This year for gaming is going to be like living in a candy store, and only having enough money for a couple of lollipops.

Unintended Bayonetta references aside, I'm definitely looking forward to getting my hands on Mass Effect 2, and Final Fantasy XIII. I hadn't really been paying attention to Red Dead Redemption, but it looks like it could be kind of awesome.

Have no fear for the rest of 2010, here is the list of quality titles announced or anticipated for 2010. (Note that even if half are delayed this makes a VERY full year. My take is this is the last great and best software year for this gen of hardware. The big devs will likely start shifting resources to the next gen after holiday 2010.)

    Darksiders (1/5/2009) - Brilliant BTW.
Army of Two, er, 2 (1/12/2010)
    Mass Effect 2 (1/26/2010)
    Bioshock 2 (2/3/2010)
    Splinter Cell: Conviction (2/23/2010)
    Crysis 2 (3/30/2010)
    God of War III (4/1/2010)
    Alan Wake (4/12/2010)
    Red Dead Redemption (4/27/2010)
    Crackdown 2 (5/1/2010)
    Split Second (5/1/2010)
    Brink (9/7/2010)
    Halo: Reach (Holiday 2010)
    Fable III (Holiday 2010)
Borderlands DLC (Two so far 11/09 and 12/09)
    Netal/Sony Motion Control (TBD)
    Arkham Asylum 2 (Holiday 2010)
Rock Band Green Day (TBD 2010)
    Bulletstorm (TBD 2010)
    Rage (TBD 2010)
    Thief (TBD 2010)
    Agent (TBD 2010)
    I Am Alive (TBD 2010)
    Harry Potter Lego (TBD 2010)
    Deathspank (TBD 2010)
    Joe Danger (TBD 2010)
    Gears of War III (anticipated)
World of Warcraft: Cataclysm (TBD 2010)
    inFamous 2 (anticipated)
    Rock Band 3 (anticipated)
Beyond Good and Evil 2 (anticipated)

Dude I can't WAIT to see Rockstar this year!

There are going to be some great games this year, but Adam what about the 2010 GOTY GOW3 and FF13.

You forgot Battlefield Bad Company 2 in March!
Only game I can think of in the second half of the year would be the not-yet-announced Call of Duty 7.
There's a Call of Duty every year in November so the 7th will come out this year in November (most likely).

No offense, but in regards to MAG being released on the same day as Mss Effect 2,... it may be a huge number of people playing at the same time.. but ever time Ive ever jumped into a PS3 network multiplayer lobby.. not 1 person has had a mic.. not exactly a good thing in a massive multiplayer game. I am in no way saying the crude, and imature ranting and racist comments prevelent on Xbox Live are better... but i have NO desire to try and play a game that has 256 people in it and they are all silent...

Loving all the early releases. Later down the line would LOVE to play Dead Rising 2 and Lost Planet 2

No mention of MAG on that list? I know it comes out on the same day as Mass Effect 2, and I don't mean to sound like a whiny fanboy, but isn't it a pretty important game? Not only is it by the makers of SOCOM, but it supports 256 players!

not trying to flame here but I really am in doubts about Natal.

At E3 2009, Microsoft had said that Natal still needed 2 more years in development before it ever saw store shelves. Now, its being released for this Holidays. I would guess October or Nov. If it was stated that a peripheral still needed 2 more year and your releasing it in approx. 7 to 8 months, how is it expected to be this next big shift in gaming? Unless you work day and night with hundreds of people focusing on what is currently a prototype, this may not end well.

In addition, the processor that it was equipped with, or "brain: as seen at E3, has now been removed meaning that games and quality is drastically reduced. its been speculated that it is now at 30fps rather then 60fps, which would be more efficient at capturing movements.

As for PS3 wand, well we'll have to wait and see though if E3 was any indication, it could work well.

I am also looking forward to red dead redemption since a western game is a pure goldmine I think.
Also shouldn't a western game have a multiplayer mode, say defend the train, you and a gang of your buddies are trying to take the rob the train, while there is a sheriff and his deputies there to try and stop them. I can see it now, AWESOME!.
Even better though a type of multiplayer that can play like an MMO but much smaller servers for the 360 just think, your'e in a saloon, playing cards, but you start to hear gunfire you and a couple of buddies(online gamers) go outside to see a gang of misfits(online gamers) raid the town and the battle begins. P.S. MMO style gameplay is possible too, just play the crappy demo of phantasy star universe on the xbox marketplace.

I have to say im not really impressed to much by 2010's line up, but it certainly has its games i see worth collecting. SC2 is a must, and so is SSFIV. besides that, only ME2 and Dragon Age: Awakening seem to be the hits of the year, assuming anyone will remember how great it 'will be' when 2011 starts rolling around the corner.
