Once it's available on Verizon, I am in for the upgrade from my Droid. I love my Droid, but the nexus one will be a better android experience, nearly double the cpu and double the ram is great in my book.

Maybe Google shouldn't have excluded the option to buy it in stores, but perhaps verizon and t-mobile could get demonstration models for people to try out or something. Or at least they could have a return policy. Still, it's a minor complaint and a different approach. At least they allow it on more than one carrier.

I am a bit bothered by this whole interview though. I don't want to say its bias exactly, but here is the thing, a phone running android is a completely legitimate runner against the iPhone. Not everyone can get or even wants AT&T with their limited coverage. I don't care if you prefer the iPhone or you hate the iPhone and want any other phone but it, there should be a little more enthusiam on the part of Mr. Siegler. He wasn't thrilled simply because there is a learning curve involved, which doesn't seem to make sense to me. I am hoping AOTS will plan on another loop segment, maybe with someone a little more open and fun about it. I want an open discussion with someone that just wants the best possible phone, not someone who gets comfortable with what they know and love and doesn't want change. Also it's important to note that competition drives down cost, so anyone in love with the iPhone should love the fact that the more we see of Android phones, the better chance there will be to keep the smart phones from getting any more costly.

AT&T customers could probably see another iPhone this year, but it's still on AT&T, which means limited coverage. Verizon and T-mobile are legit competitors with good benefits and coverage, plus you never here the term Applecare or anything like that thrown around with these other phones do you? I'd like to see a better loop discussion about this phone, the iPhone is a good phone, but when I can sit down with my friend who has an iPhone, and do all the things they can't because I actually have 3G coverage then you start to wonder why bother with the iPhone. Users are paying for service they aren't recieving, and I would start telling AT&T that they need to compensate them for the times they are without service, otherwise you are paying for nothing.

I am not bashing on the iPhone, I just want everyone to realize there are viable options other than it. Phones will keep getting better, and we will all win. Besides if people started dropping the iPhone for others, don't you think AT&T and Apple might try to step up coverage, and step up the phone wars? How is that not a win?

In my opinion, Google Nexus One for the WIN!

WHAT I CAN'T BUY IT IN STORES!!!!!! I wanted this so bad, but i have to touch and see with my own eyes something before I buy it.

Googles wrong VERY WRONG in their assumption that most people prefer buying stuff online. I read reviews online, but I buy it physically I don't wanna drop half a grand for something I just saw a picture of.

Thats it I am buying the iphone!

What has no one at g4 heard of root access on android? What you fail to mention is this is rootable out of the box with one command and not just root access you can change the whole os if you wanted to making this the first phone you truly own and as for multi touch it is built into the android framework its just disabled so when the rom devs get it today you can guarantee it will have multitouch at least on the open source apps i've had mt on my g1 browser since rc33. I think you should do some research about android before you talk on television about a android phone if you wan't to be a viable news source cause not everyone is on apples nutz and some ppl like to have control of their phone. A unbiased report on this subject woulda been nice the iphone bias is getting kinda old and its everywhere not just here. Iphone can't even run two apps at the same time how is that considered a "smart phone" its a ipod with a phone in it not a smart phone i had one so there's no bias coming from me either. I'll give the gaming to the iphone for now but its only a matter of time android is evolving faster then steve jobs can give you the next slightly better phone every year and take your money all over again. I could never buy another phone again with the 1ghz proccessor and the open source of android this phone will be upgradeable with newer versions of android until the hardware can't keep up with it so have fun buying a new phone every year for a few extra features i'll stick with my open source administrative linux shell with less fart apps.
