Nier Audio Teaser Trailer

Square Enix's PR machine is firing up and releases a really unusual teaser for the unique storyline in their action RPG Nier. It is probably not at all what you are expecting to see/hear.

Instead of typing what's on my mind like everyone else here, I would like to just recap what just happened....

I click on the play button. I sit here, in my big comfy chair, expecting some final fantasy rip off or something. I start hearing a female's voice and she starts cursing. Said female starts making no sense. Said female gets louder, more profane, and starts making less sense. The trailer ends. I sit here, staring at the screen expecting something more, something that will tie it all together so that it makes sense. I see "nothing is as it seems". The thought "well no duh" enters my mind. I bust out laughing.

I get the feeling this is gonna be a huge flop both as a marketing campaign and as a game. Any one else?

Kinda reminds me of Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus but without the massive amounts of foul language o-o

oh I know what this is, its the point in the game where I ususally regret purchasing another JRPG. Those school girl uniforms get me everytime...

I've heard that voice many times whether it be in games or anime I am not sure but to those saying its bad voice acting I really don't think you know what you're talking about. I love people that have make lofty assumptions about a whole game based on almost nothing.

It's not Square going mature per se, they're just publishing this game made by some other company... I think Square is still making mediocre T-rated RPGs like Last Remnant and Infinite Undiscovery...
