I don't know why people are dogging this! COD needs some competition! If anybody recalls the founders of infinity ward were some of the project leads on medal of honor allied assault. What I'm interested in is if they may have some frostbite engine in the game(destructible environments) Since EA dice is also on the project alongside EA Los Angeles. Would be interesting if it had elements of MW with destructible environments in MP.

I keep on hearing people talk about wanting to do a Civil War/Revolutionary War game. No you don't, at least not if it were accurate. Do you even know the cook off time to fire a musket? Do you even know what "cook off time" is?Ok, imagine getting an enemy in your sites, pulling the trigger, and having to keep that enemy in your sights for another 2-5 seconds while the black powder burns its way from the flint on the hammer to the round itself. As if that wasn't bad enough, imagine having to take another 110-15 seconds (if you're really good) between shots, at which point you are putting in the wadding, powder, and round, and ensuring they are all packed in properly, because if you don't you have to worry about the rifle blowing up in your face. Sound like fun, right?
Furthest back I think we should ever go is WWI, and even that is debatable with all the trench warfare going on (not alot of variety in "they attack over no-mans land, then get pushed back, then we attack over no-mans land, then get pushed back, wash, rinse, repeat)
I still say Korean or Vietnam War...

I'm intrigued by this. I want to see what they can do with the franchise. Allied Assault was one of my favorites back in the day

OMG i can see the MoH vs CoD fanboys now... I'm starting to see a trend though in all these modern war games. I like the setting but i think down the line we'll be flooded in with so many games with a war that is taking place while we are playing a game with a war that is taking place while we play a game with a war that is taking place.... that itll be like WW2 games. We loved em for a while but we got sick of killing Nazis after a while and i can see us trading in our M4s nd M16s for something else just like we traded in our MP40s for M4s. (And i hope we trade those M4s for muskets) lol.

I really love mw2 but really cant wait to see what EA and Medal of Honor can accomplish with a brand new storyline.

There's a lot of talk about this trailer looking a lot like CoD:MW not sure what yall are expecting they are both portraying warfare as it is today of course they are going to look closely connected. To be honest i don't really see that as a negative its just the style and capabilities we have at this moment with gaming. The MoH franchise has done a pretty good job at story telling in the past so i have no doubt in my mind the single player experiance with out weigh CoD:MW and MW2...because lets be honest they just slapped some new names and re skinned some weapons on the MW storyline for MW2. MoH airborne did botch up the multi play which was a major disappointment giving what i feel the chance CoD needed to really make a break for number one. Then again lets be honest if your a PC gamer Online play cant get much worse then IW P2P connection system. All in all weather it looks like CoD isnt really then issue lets be honest most shooters feel the same and we still pick up a copy anyways. There wasnt anything ground breaking in MW2's Online arsenal they just added some more weapons to my pointing and clicking and you know what I enjoy shooting faces anyways. I will be keeping an eye on this with all hope being able to revive an almost lost series. Weather or not it can top or does top CoD well i will leave that to all the Forum flamers and Fanboys to debate while i am doing some old fashioned skull cracking. Best of luck to MoH and EA on their Title.

I love MW2 and think it's the best game in the world but I don't agree with everyone saying that this game is copying it. It's modern, they can't make up fake guns and other things. Both games are using real life weapons, equipment, etc. Of less they have killstreaks and stuff it's not copying it. Everybody knows MW2 is better then this game but then MW2 is better then every game but I'll say this game does look pretty good.

At first appearance i think that it wont be worth it seeing as MW2 just came out and looks extremely similar. But, i havent seen enough yet to decide whether it will be buy worthy.

    @ Punk09's reply
Ok, other than the fact that you're fighting Asians, how on earth would Vietnam or Korean War be anything like CoD:WaW? Do you know your history at all? Yes, WaW had alot of jungle levels (also the only game to do good/accurate job of jungle levels thus far in my opinion), but was still not quite the same as the experience in Vietnam. Vietnam had basically a rainforest type setting with how thick and dense the jungles were. On top of that, they could make some fairly involving and emotional gameplay with how the war itself was. I mean, imagine walking into a village and not being able to tell who was a simple villager, and who was part of the Vietcong? Constantly having to watch your step for booby traps? Being given crap rules of engagement that almost completely tie your hands? I say gameplay-wise, a game set in Vietnam would be far and above unique from others that have come before.
And Korea being similar to either of those? Really? How much do you really know about the Koean War? Read about the battle at the Chosin Reservoir? How about the point at which hundreds of thousands of Chinese came streaming over the border when the American/South Korean forces crossed over the 38th Parallel? You think Japanese were good at sneaking around the flanks and popping up out of nowhere? Read about the North Koreans' ability to fully encircle and flank US forces. Oh, and Korean War was definitely not in a jungle, so it was not like fighting Japan in WWII at all. In fact, I think it would make for fairly compelling gameplay to do it CoD style, playing first through the eyes of the overwhelmed and outgunned South Koreans (North Korea was supplied and backed by both the Soviet Union and China), then through the eyes of the US Army fighting back, then being pushed back, then finally through the eyes of the US Marines that landed and pushed the Koreans almost all the way back before China crossed over and forced a cease fire. What do you think? Sounds good? Maybe a *little* different from Cod:WaW? You know, other than the fact that they involved fighting Asians...

Looks like it could turn out to be the game that MW2 should have been. Medal of Honor: No Jumpshark.

Looking at the trailer, this looks like it's gonna be pretty sweet.
MW2, ripoff? I think not. Just cause something is in the same genre people instantly call "ripoff".
Um they are war franchises...big emphasis on the word "war". It just looks like MOH to me lol.

MoH got me into FPSs that have somewhat of a plot. I mean does anyone remember how amazing it was to play omaha beach for the first time in allied assualt and frontline? That was groundbreaking at the time. I hope they give MW2 a run for their money with this one cuz the way they portray what look to be like army special forces is great so far. I'm like what I see!

MOH Frontlines, while gltichy, was one of the most fun MOH titles imo.

Looks cool. Hopefully they will do a good job of it since the last few MoH games were kinda bad. Airborne was pretty good though.

MoH was good back in the day. But I'm afraid Modern Warfare beat them to the punch. Who knows though, maybe they'll score a few bucks off of it.

I love how people are saying "OMG it looks so much like mw2!" Lol its because they both look so good. Every other FPS game out there tries to be mw2, hopefully this game will actually be made for adults, unlike Glitch Filled Multiplayer 2
