I don't know about any of you, but this music makes me feel like I'm gearing up for some epic battle. Didn't play the game, but respect to those responsible for the music. **single tear**
I am surprised some of you hate my comments. I did not know so many G4 readers loved soundtracks, lol.
I whole-heartedly disagree with those above saying this is filler and setting a bad precedent. The music that I listen to normally is nowhere near the music of game soundtracks, but it is still a make or break point in games. I like to think that I can appreciate good music.I'm still listening to Dune: Spice Opera.Thank you for reviewing this. I am not sure that I like it all that much, but your point about the flow of the music that masks the gaps between tracks is making me reconsider. Sometimes life needs a little soundtrack and my studies, work, and downtime is sometimes lacking a more calming and instrumental track set. It's always pleasing to find music which can fill that niche. I like to support the game by purchasing the soundtrack. Like many, I don't have unlimited funds to spend on these things, but with what is at your disposal you may as well support what you enjoy. And yes, I am talking about brand loyalty and attempting to be a savvy consumer. Whether that is a naivety of mine - that could be debated for hours. At least it helps me sleep at night.
Huh, a mention of Starcraft: Ghost?Man, I was looking forward to that game for years. It's a shame it got the axe (Curse you WoW! Yet another reason you suck!)
Crap Game, Where's Baldurs Gate 3?????
Dragon age sucked on a Massive scale! Even the back of the box shows deceptive qualities od the game that just aren't in the game!First it was gonna be a point and click adventure, then I heard it was gonna be like Baldurs Gate, In NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM is this game like Baldurs Gate.I actually loved that game. This game is glitchy,PS1 graphics,if not worse, and the fighting is downright rediculous,my character can't even swing his sword at will? I press a button, and wait 2 seconds, then press a button and wait two seconds again....boring.....and downright shameful to the company.Plus, you get a sheild, but can't even phisically use it?! Come On!!!If you think this game was actually good, you must be a "Newbee"....jeez...
In the process of not playing Saboteur on PC because it was released even though my ATI graphix card locks it up on the main menu!?!? http://forum.ea.com/eaforum/po sts/list/350030.page
Not to keep bringing this up but...am I the only one that finds it funny that they have DAO soundtrack review posted, yet it doesn't even have a nomination for "best soundtrack" in their awards? lol
Thanks for the info, but I hope G4 doesn't get any ideas that they should regularly review music. Too many fingers in too many pies, ya know? Unless they are hiring people to write reviews for music, in which case; where can I submit my resume?
Let me sound like a jerk for a minute and say that this review is just a filler. The music could be cool, but this does not seem to me like very important gaming news.
Awesome, I've been waiting for this. It will definately have a place alongside my Mass Effect and Jade Empire soundtracks, even though, as some one else said, some of the game's battle music does get a bit old after fifty or so hours of gameplay, the stand out pieces of the game are still worth having (main theme,Lelianna's Song, etc).I wish they'd release Zur's Prince of Persia soundtrack. It's nice that it came with the game, but its on a DVD. It'd be nice if I could mix it with other stuff.
Music fits with the game a job well done. Should have spent more time with the voice acting for the main character though... (remembers My Warden sense is tingling...) *shudders*
True, I love the music, but more would have been good considering the length. It was like with Fallout 3 where I'd hear the same stuff so much that it wouldn't even register in my ears anymore.
Although this is good music, it gets old after you've played 50+ hours of Dragon Age. Zur should have written waaaaay more pieces for this superlong game.
