Adam, Abbie, Patrick and Sterling talk about Ballad of Gay Tony, DJ Hero, Tekken 6, and the state of the Wii.

Going back on what NBAbBaller said, take a look at the south park episode. They refer to the a-hole bikers as f*gs. Then when the people of the town tell the children not to call gay people that, the children go through and explain how f*gs are not gays. in fact some of their favorite people are gay, and that the word "f*g" has come to mean a-hole instead.

And about Tekken, my main issue was the lag online and that they took the stories out of the arcade mode. My favorite thing about Tekken 5 was being able to see a new story with each character. The Scenerio mode wasn't bad, but it wasnt good either. I would like to see Tekken 7, with brushed up graphics, better online, tag elements, and return the story mode to arcade.

I really like you guys, but I still think ya'll are overreacting about the MW2 video. There are tons of other offensive stuff (to other people) that you don't get mad about.

    1. IW wasn't fostering anti gay feelings. If they were, I'd be there with you.
    2. Freedom of speech comes the offensive language, if you sensor that, then you have to sensor profanity, curse words, and sexual phrases as well.
    3. Word meanings change over time. I haven't personally heard that word used to make fun of a gay person in a long time. In fact, I know that many in the LGBT community have adopted that word and queer as their own, which as lessened the impact and horror of that word.

I support the way IW responded. They did apologize, but they shouldn't have condemned the ENTIRE joke for that one comment. I feel they didn't mean to offend anyone, and I'm sure it did bother them that people responded negativally, but as I said in point 2, G4 defends games with extreme violence, course language, and sexuality (none of which personally bothers me) that offend and bother people as much as or more so then that IW video did.

Honestly, it seems that it bothers the journalists more so then the the actual LGBT community. I'm glad that you guys feel a need to be socially responsible and defend the community. I too, hate the fact that young children are using not just these "slurs" (whether you agree with me that the meaning has changed or not) as well as the cursing and the just evilness and threats that you hear. However, I don't feel that addressing the IW video has anything to do with this....it would be better to direct it another way...mainly to the parents of these kids.

Thanks. I know it's my opinion, but its still as valid as anothers, as I value yours. Thanks for the great programming and entertainment.

"There is only ONE acceptable use of F*g ever, and that is as reference to a bundle of sticks."

You obviously have never been to England where the word F*g is used everyday in reference to cigarettes and has nothing to do with homosexuality. In fact, the 3 months that I lived there I never heard anyone use the word f*g in a negative context toward anyone or anything. Thus, making the word completely powerless and meaningless. The only time I did hear it was when I was on Xbox Live and my American cohorts were calling the UK players f*gs.

I, for one, have always believed some words hold way to much power and should just be brushed off. Especially, when those words are slang and make no real reference to anything other than the word itself.

I agree with "nbabballer" and that is how they intended to use the word. The English language is full of words with more than one meaning.

Like, in the old west "" was a slang term that meant "to run or get out in a hurry."

This add never depicted gay people in any, way, shape, or form.

Hate speech should never be used or condoned but this isn't hate speech, everyone is in on the joke, even homosexuals.

People have been using it as an insult that has nothing to do with homosexuality for a long time now and that word is just as much ours as it is anyone else's.

I dont think it was such a big deal that infinity ward said that. I understand that it was wrong for them to have said that, but when that people are canceling their preorders is rediculous. However, infinity ward did not handle it the way thaey should have. There still should have been some form of an apology.
Another thing is the talk about the transition to DLC. I'm alright with the idea that some things should be on DLC, but i DO like the idea of going out and buying a game on disc (as crazy as it sounds). I'm only 13 and i am not the best with buying things on the PSN or x-box live, considering that i don't know how to even put money on an online acount. All i hear about is how good all these new DLC's are and i am frustrated with the whole online process of shopping. Now i have to go gamestop and buy fallout3 game of the year adition to get the DLC without using PSN or x-box live. Yes i am an addicted gamer who's gamed now for God knows how long and i DON'T like DLC.

Shooter McGarvy sounds a lot like the name of Shooter McGavin from Happy Gilmore, but God love Adam Sessler and Paul Newman

I'm not able to watch the whole video. for some reason g4tv videos are only playing 1/3-1/2 of the way through before they just stop. Sadly. I get about 18 min in on this video. average videos stop around 1-2 min

I think, talking about increasing the difficulty level of games, that part of the issue is that people who focus on increasing the difficulty tend to focus more on the 'monsters' that you are fighting, and less on the environment. Remove things that make it easier, or add environmental that make it harder. Maybe on a simpler level, you have a stable platform. In higher difficulty modes, those platforms move up and down. In a harder level, they just slide into the walls and drop you into dangerous stuff if you aren't progressing fast enough. Maybe not everywhere, as you want to have places where you just sit there and fire fight, but when you are fighting more then just some pixel avatars is when the game starts getting more fun for me.

Obviously, this isn't going to work for every game, but you can sneak some of these elements into puzzle games, and you can fit it into racing games. You just need to get more creative.

I believe that the word doesnt represent homosexuals. F*G doesnt necessarily make fun of gay's! It's sad to see ppl automatically assume towards what the words mean. I use the word, i dnt use it to make fun of gays....i use it because that word to me means something along the line of jackA$$!

Words change meanings all the time....this is one of them!
