Marines can turn into the best class aslong as you're with experienced friends who know what there doing. One rifle and set of eyes will get you killed. 4 sets of eyes and rifles will cover all bases and become unstoppable aslong as the team is in perfect unison.
Predators are for people who wana go solo....all the weoponary is very good for self defense and charges/epic standoffs.
Aliens however are good for attacking in packs, you can't really attack a group of marines unless its just you verse that 1 marine, my point is, ur group attack number needs to be relative to the opponent your facing, much like hunters in Left 4 dead.
So those are your 3 social groups in this game, there's a reason why they're so diverse and everyone has a different opinion on the characters....personally I like the marines and the predators, I don't really like the aliens because I don't feel like I can hone my skills to perfection, and the controls feel abnormal (which they should) but I still don't like them.....
