It is MOST definitely a slasher..."masked killer running amuck in the woods with a pair of deadly scissors"? I think that automatically constitutes it being a slasher flick, don't you? Just because it also throws in that sci-fi element of time-travel doesn't negate it as a horror film, and when it screened last year at FrightFest it got some of the best audience reactions, especially the end. Ok fine...it doesnt have any boobs in it-WAIT! It does! Add some blood...well, I'd say that's a horror film right there, and a damn fine one at that.

But to each their own...and Ive seen it 4 times now.

    Thanks for stopping by!

    Joe

Timecrimes is a great flick and definitely worth checking out, but holy cow - it's not even remotely a horror film.

Seriously - "serial killer classic"? "slasher flick"?

It doesn't sound like Joe has even seen the movie. Maybe he got his info from the Frightfest press release(?)

I can't believe Alien wasn't in that list.

An American Werewolf in London is fantastic, certainly. The Howling had a ridiculous ending, which was it's only real problem.

Now I've got the itch to watch them both...I wish Netflix had them on instant watch...
