screen space ambient occlusion. Is this implemented on id tech 5? I think im seeing it on the trailer ^^.
In anycase, hope the engine sells. Would be a nice to see a change of pace from all that shiny dark hue UT3 engine has given our eyes.

I might be alone here but i haven't enjoyed an id game since Prey. But this not only looks like the game to win me over agian, it also looks like it could be the game to make id number one again.

Fallout 3 is one of my favorite games but it wasn't the first post apocalyptic game. I don't understand why everyone thinks that any post apocilyptic game shooter and or rpg is a copy of Fallout 1 2 or 3. I don't know, maybe it's because those are great games that some could argue kind of set the bar for a post apocilyptic game. That's what I think, anyway this game looks great and the graphics look fantastic.

Looks like a pretty solid game. ID Software doesn't usually disappoint. Definitely gonna be following this one along closely.

Upon another look of this trailer, I'm even more excited about it. If this is an accurate portrayal of the gameplay, it looks very fun.

It looks to me that alot of people are geting in to these wasteland feel games such as Fallout 3 and if you you at it Borderlands (which has driving as well as this game) and that is a good thing in my eyes keep it up guys.

Does that make the idea seem any more original? No. But it's something that has always worked when done well. Complaining about cars with guns is like complaining that there's a fire spell in an RPG. Sorry, I just get annoyed when people shout "this is retarded" as soon as a trailer is released. It doesn't make you look cool.
At any rate, this looks promising. And as it's been said before, Doom 3 is about the only thing ID has put out that I did not care for. This however, looks much better.

I seriously hope this game is anywhere near as massive as fallout 3. and yes people are going to be using the word fallout 3 when talking about this game from now till the next post apocalyptic game comes out. also, i see vehicles and giant mutants, which now that ive finished playing the whole game and all the DLCs for fallout3. im only looking forward to more games with wastelanders, mutants and crazy weapons. Just hope theres a good storyline to go with all that. keep em coming ill play them all!
