my 2 cents on game delays are as such, basically so many good highly anticipated games came out within one month of each other back in 2008, like Dead Space, Gears of War 2, Resistance 2, Fable 2, Fallout 3, Little Big Planet, Motorstorm 2, Left 4 Dead, Mirror's Edge, Tomb Raider Underworld, Far Cry 2, Tom Clancy's Endwar, Call of Duty WaW, Persona 4, and such... basically so many games released next to each other that sales were hurt of some excellent games basically because too much high quality competition

what happened was in 2009 publishers wanted to avoid the heavy competition in the holiday season launch window so they all thought they could wait until early 2010 to avoid the competition... BUT THEY ALL DID THAT!!! they collectively moved themselves into the same problem they were all avoiding. so lately we've seen more delays, some may be development delays but I feel it's all because some publishers feel less confident the games will sell with all the competition so some are pushing titles back
