I wonder why people are being so hostile and think that any of us are crying about MxO closing down. It's just the "other" point of view. Hypothetically, imagine if someone made a video about G4 saying how much it sucks(i'm not saying it does because it doesn't). Do you realize how many people would comment about how negative the video sounds? That's exactly what this is.

When G4 is bashing an MMO that managed to gain the badge of honor as SOE's first shut down game maybe it's time to realize it's a duck and stop your crying.

I think they're really missing the point, Villemar. We're not saying "You're hurting our feelings. Stop it because we're so offended." It's more of the attitude Casey has put towards it. I think everyone in MxO knows that people look at it with a negative MMO connotation. But that aside, there's really no reason for him to say some of the things he said. Really, our point is that he's attacking MxO pointlessly and with complete disregard for the players.
Ok....the game is being shut down. So why couldn't he just say that and perhaps explain the reasoning for it? Or maybe have gotten some input from players before and included them in this video. It would have relayed the same information that MxO is shutting down, right? What he said was like insulting a family member at their funeral.

I am Truc, you should know that by now...it's over and I'm glad its been put out of its misery finally. You and I knew exactly what was going to happen because of certain choices made almost a year ago, so no surprise where we are today, no surprise at all. I'm just saying there's no need to attack/insult an MMO's entire player base on its last day. Thats just pointless and rude, I don't care what game it is.
Well my gaming career is over anyways, have better things to do than deal with smack-talking losers anyways. Enjoy your time sinks, suckers!

OMG! Someone said they didn't like your game! Stop the mther effin' presses. Cry more you pansies. Can't play the same damn game your entire life. Pick any MMO, dump 5 (more) years of your life into it and I'm sure you'll come up with just as many arguements as to why it's "awesome".

Basically Casey is literally saying "Good Riddance." I'm not sure why exactly. As a joke, it falls flat. Hence my sarcastic response about our reign of terror. At the end of the day, we only a few hundred subscribers. Why the hate for a relative handful of gamers? I dont get it. Its not like it impedes on your mega million plus subscriber mmos. Or are you one of those Survival of the Fittest, cull the weak types?
Either way, we wont impede on your woW, it will do just fine I'm sure. Its just some of us liked a smaller, 'niche' game.

Wow, I have been watching the MMO Report for... well longer than I woudl like to admit. This is the first time I have seen so many fanboys of a specific game chime in. Casey, you must have hit a nerve!
Or maybe MxO players are really just a bunch of p ussies? In which case, this game deserves to be shut down. ;)~

Ah well you'll be happy to know the boot heels of our oppression will finally be lifted from your neck in about 24 hours, freeing you from our horrible reign of terror. Gotta make room for the next trendy, flat, static farming-based mega mmo that caters to an average age of 12! Now that's freedom!

I know G4 is good for it jokes and all but the attitude towards MxO has more effect than they realize. "Seriously? That game is still around?" was really an unnecessary comment. It's also bad that people assume that everyone who plays is a "wanna-be Neo". There's really two communities in MxO, like any other MMO: RP and PvP.
The PvPers are always doing their thing, fighting until they get bored. Although I've never played any other MMO, I'm sure that's how it is there too. As an RPer, I've payed as much attention to them as they have to us. It's kind of like high school, in a sense. The RPers showed their creativity in so many ways over the years, whether it be with Live Events run by SOE or member events and storylines like Algorithm: Black.
Even though I've never played any other MMO, I know for sure that no other MMO has a combat system like MxO. I guarantee that if people actually took the time to level up a bit before judging the combat system they would realize how unique it is. I'll admit that it doesn't seem like much the first 15 levels but what game does? All MMOs start off pretty boring until you reach a certain point, right?
As for the whole "Neo-con" thing, I wonder how many people realize that none of the story in MxO was based on Neo. It was an original continuation of the story. Pretty much nothing relating to Neo. In fact, anyone who shows up with a Neo-related handle usually gets laughed at. No one really wants to be Neo. Maybe everyone who plays WoW wants to be the Lich King.

Maxtrix Online player here. Thanks G4 for ridiculing almost 5 years of my life.
The Matrix Online will be missed by many, including me and many of my friends. No one can truly know just how great the game was, and how much greater it could have been if it had gotten a fair chance without having experienced it the way the select few fans did.
For some reason MxO just got a bad Rap from the very beginning until its death, despite the major improvements over the years. Very sad that even now, media can't seem to see it for what it was. A unique brand, in a unique world, with unique graphics and unique combat system that is far greater then any other MMO's combat system to date.
