Gears of War Movie Preview

Adam Sessler gets an exclusive preview of the 'Gears of War' movie. Cliff Bleszinski from Epic and the film's director Len Wiseman talk about the film's development, casting and what's important when turning a video game into a feature film.

I think that Sonny Landham (Billy from the Predator) would've made a nice Marcus Fenix. For some reason he kind of reminds me of Marcus look and personality-wise. Too bad he's almost 70 now though :/

Gears of War, IF done right, could be a great movie.

Just like they said, a live action World of Warcraft movie is going to be ridiculous...

changing the subject a bit, i have to dissagre with everyone who says that there isn't any good videogame based movies. i really liked silent hill.maybe gears could be another good one.and definately ryan reynolds for baird.that is if he isn't to busy with deadpool.

PS Asteroids? really even X-Play couldn't believe it.But I hope they continue to make great games,that leads to greater movies.

This is what I was talking about.Games with good scripts and great ideas they should be making into Hollywood blockbusters.Now were only waiting on Grand Theft Auto,Halo,Metal Gear.

Ya know, if you think that Asteroids is a dumb idea for a movie, wait til Monopoly the movie comes out. Yes, I'm being serious. They are making a Monopoly movie...
On Gears of War however, I say start with E-day, but go over it just long enough to give everyone the idea, then move on to main plot. I think casting for Cole should be the easiest, especially since the guy who did his voice looks so much the part it shouldn't even be a question (Google Terry Tate, not the name of the actor, but you'll see...). As far as everyone else? I dunno, you need some pretty big dudes to fill those suits...
Ok, just read the suggestions.
Freakin yes on Dominic Purcell from Prison Break for Marcus (good idea)
Not so sure about the rest. Bringin in Amaury Nolasco just seems a bit too much of keepin the Prison Break crew together. I can't think of it at the moment, but I know there's a bigger hispanic dude out there that would fit the role of Dom perfectly.
As far as Cole, I stick to my guns in saying keep the man who did his voice for the game.
I am leaning a bit more toward Ryan Reynolds for Baird though. Not feelin Sean William Scott for the part for some reason. Maybe keep lookin...

i would really like to see the pendulum wars and maybe e-day those would be good things to show in the movie but
