Konami takes us back to the original Silent Hill, taken with a new perspective. Tom Hewlett gives G4 the inside look on just how they define the "Horror" Genre and how they are going to try and scare the pants off of Wii players.

Oh, and anyone interested in this game needs to visit the roots of Silent Hill for Ps and Ps2, you'll crap your pants.

This abomination just makes me so sad. First Silent Hill 5, now this? And Dahlia a punk rocker?! WTF?! Weapons in the game is what made it great, running out of ammo made running from the beasts that much more thrilling. Constantly running makes it too normal of an act, therefore; not scary.
One more thing... THE WII?! Come on Konami, wheres the sweet stuff like SH origins and SH2, even 3!! Tap into the charcters, give them issues!!! dont poop out game because they have the title "Silent Hill"!!!
Sigh: when again will I enjoy the horror of Silent Hill.. Maybe ill just go back to Alone in the Dark...

I completely agree. I know they want to make a "reimagining" but that doesnt mean they should completely spit in the face of the continuity of silent hill games and make it absolutely ridiculous! Also, I said WTF the second i saw that the otherworld was ice! The otherworld in SH1 was one of the scariest things in the game! i dont think ice is that scary! maybe an annoyance but not scary...

I'd like to see them get back to the style of Silent Hill 2. I was scared to play that game alone in the dark. This "glowing blue ice" is a door just seems to artificial. SH2 if you weren't reading a guide you could roam for hours trying to figure out where to go or what to do cause you had to explore everything.
