Samsung AS730 Home Theatre System Review

Chris Hardwick is here to tell us about the all-new Samsung AS730 Home Theatre System that comes with an AV receiver, though that doesn't make its set up any easier than other models.

What You Need To Know
  • This system is all about connectivity, featuring 3 HDMI inputs, 3 digital optical inputs and even an iPod dock.
  • The set-up is still pretty complicated, and the manual doesn't help that much.
  • There's no single button to press for each input.
  • Speakers are a bit muffled, which shows that the highs and mids are lacking.
  • In other words, this isn't very loud at all.
  • The subwoofer and bass quality is pretty good compared to everything else.
  • Overall, this sound system isn't up to par.
  • $400.00
  • It's a good price for a home theatre system, but you're better off buying a panasonic or another Samsung home theatre in a box with a disc player.
