Sony IS100 Home Theater System

Sometimes, it's not the size of the speaker, but the motion of the wave, you know what we mean? That's why we look at the small but mighty Sony IS100 Home Theater system.

What You Need to Know

  • The subwoofer is giant at about 17" high, but the speakers are tiny
  • Each speaker only weighs 2.5 ounces and is 2.2" deep
  • This is the smallest home theater system we've ever seen and that makes it incredibly easy to hide in your living room
  • The center channel also acts as the remote receiver so you may have to put that out in the open
  • Everything is color-coded so you know where to plug each surround speaker
  • Auto calibration through the included mic
  • There are 3 HDMI inputs and one output to your TV; this means you can switch between any high-def component directly from the receiver, while most home theaters in a box barely have any inputs let alone HDMI
  • One thing they do have is a lot of volume; it has a total output of 450 watts
  • Each channel sounds clear and the sub gives excellent bass
  • The center channel sounds sort of detached at normal volume, but if you turn it up it gets better
  • The mids are a lacking
