We're breaking with tradition and reviewing multiple tech items in this edition of Gadget Pr0n including the Kodak Zi6 Camcorder, Creative HS1200 Headset, Razer Salmosa Mouse and EyeClops Night Vision Goggles.

Creative HS-1200 Wireless USB Gaming Headset: What You Need to Know

  • It has 3D positional audio (sort of like surround sound) and the X-Fi Crystalizer Controller, both of which give you pretty good sound, but it's still not anywhere close to 5.1
  • The mic works well, but the lows are a bit distorted
  • We do love the retro look of the headphones, but the earcups are a bit small
  • You can also adjust volume or answer an incoming call with buttons on the headset
  • It's perfect for gaming

Price

  • $70

Kodak Zi6 Pocket Video Camera: What You Need to Know

  • Outdoor footage looks almost as good as a full featured camcorder in 720p
  • However, middle to low light shows a lot of grain and looks downright bad
  • Other than that, it feels sturdy and not as cheap as other like the DXG we reviewed
  • We would spend a little less and buy the Vado from Creative

Price

  • $165

Razer Salmosa Gaming Mouse: What You Need to Know

  • We like how light it is and how the upturned buttons form fit to your hand
  • On the bottom is where you adjust settings, but you can only change between 800 and 1,800 dpi, which means you have a really high sensitivity or really low. There should be a middle ground
  • Razer's macroing software always works well
  • Overall, it's an excellent mouse
  • It works well for gaming or just regular mousing

Price

  • $40

EyeClops Night Vision Goggles: What You Need to Know

  • It's powered by actual infrared technology which lets you see about 20”in the dark
  • It doesn't blow out in daylight
  • There's an LED light that helps with visibility, but obviously makes you visible if you're being sneaky
  • It's just like looking through an average night-shot camcorder
  • If you want a toy that makes you look like Sam Fisher, it's great; just don't expect actual night vision

Price

  • $70

The rapid fire Gadget Pr0n does not include ratings for all products. (how do we rate gadgets?)
