Motorola U9 Phone

We can't help ourselves. When a sexy new phone like the Motorola U9 shows up, we get all gooey inside, and we just have to review it. We call it Gadget Pr0n. You'll call it fun.

Things You Need To Know

  • It's a little thinner than the original Pebble at 0.65 inches thick
  • The round edges give this phone a really nice feel, and it catches the eye
  • It's tough to get the phone open since there isn't much of a slot to get your finger into, plus it doesn't have the pop open
  • The keys are all flat reminiscent of the old Razor, so you might occasionally press the wrong buttons
  • The 2 inch internal screen is large and colorful
  • Motorola's user interface is kinda laggy, but it is easy to use
  • The OLED display on the front is touch sensitive, and it blends in with the front of the phone so you can't really tell there's a screen at all
  • It works well, and it recognizes mp3, AAC, and WMA.
  • The speaker sounds good just like the rocker, and it has stereo Bluetooth
  • You have to have the micro-SD card in to get music on your phone, which is under the battery.
  • If you want a simple phone that looks nice and is affordable, this is a great way to go.
  • You won't get a lot of features, and some are sub-par like the camera, so if you need a multimedia phone, buy something else.
