Today, we'll review the Klipsch Icon WF-35 Home Theatre System, which has the ability to transform your house into a movie theater to rival your local cineplex.

What You Need to Know

  • The towers fit in well (in either the Cabernet finish or the Espresso, which is a matte black)
  • They are thin and not too tall at about 43” tall and 7.25” wide, but just big enough to show off
  • The rest of the system should be a bit smaller
  • The center channel is 6.5” wide and the surround speakers are 11.5” high, both tough to hide in your living room
  • The subwoofer is a monstrous 17.5” deep, which sticks out against the wall
  • The speaker grilles are magnetic and easily removed
  • The floorstanders are about 150 watts each and booming
  • The center is 90 watts and satellites are 75 watts; you're getting practically the same amount of sound from all ends of the room
  • A 500 watt subwoofer covers the low end, but you almost don't need it; the other speakers do an excellent job with the lows even though they’re not full range

Price

  • The system is $2,500 without the sub, but $3,750 without it; this is pricey for anyone
  • Most home theatres are $300- $600, but it doesn't compare in power
  • The sound is superb, but it's expensive

Overall Rating

  • 90% (4 Seals of Approval)
