We'll review Canon's A590 Digital Camera and the MX850 all-in-one printer.  Will we love 'em or hate 'em?  You'll have to watch to find out.

MX850 Printer

What You Need to Know

  • It's really easy to print your photos
  • All you do is drop in your memory card (practically every format), push the print button and select your photo
  • The LCD screen could be a little larger since you use it so much
  • You can also connect thru Ethernet, or buy a $50 Bluetooth adapter to print wirelessly
  • Copy, scan, and fax just by pushing one button. The interface is simple to understand
  • It prints a 4 x 6 photo in about 21 seconds
  • Prints up to 9600 x 2400 DPI

  • The MX850 might be more than you need at home, but it's ease of use and $235 dollar price tag make it a worthwhile purchase

Canon A590

Canon A590What You Need to Know

  • It feels kind of plasticy and it's tough to slide in your pocket
  • The colors are sort of dull
  • The bulk does it make easy to hold though
  • Using the camera is as reliable as the SD-1100 we loved so much
  • All the menu buttons are big, and the amount of scene and manual options is amazing
  • Auto settings produce images that are well balanced
  • Low light with flash shows very little blowing out
  • Higher ISO's show some grain, but overall pictures look the way you want them to
  • It's a bit slow to take pictures

  • The A590 is probably the best camera you'll get for $150 dollars online
